Coca-Cola and Pepsi-Cola are the two most popular and widely recognized beverage brands in the world. Which one you prefer?

From my drinking experience, Coca-Cola goes better with whiskey

And comparing their reputation, Coca-Cola looks much better with all positive reviews: COCA COLA reviews and reputation check while Pepsico brand gives just a 60% reputation score: PEPSI COLA reviews and reputation check

I think Coca-Cola PR managers are better

I never liked Coca-Cola, I drank Pepsi for probably 30 years. I gave up all soda about 2 years ago, funny thing is I don't even miss it, I guess it just became a habit. Now I drink water like a fish, which years ago I couldn't stand drinking water.

Take a sip of pepsi now and you won't be able to figure out why you liked it in the first place. I drink a lot of water now myself instead of soda. I do on occasion have a soda but when I do it's either Reeds Ginger Brew or one of the Virgil's line. Home - Reeds, Inc.

I have not drank a soda in many, many years - I drink water, fruit juice, vegetable juice, water and beer ~ (not all mixed together though).

ohh - I take that back - every once in a blue moon I will have a root beer.

I average 1 soda per month. I'll have an occasional 'nickel' Coke - the tiny glass bottle that they charge $5 for a 6-pack, because of nostalgic morons such as myself.

On the BBQ holidays I'll have a Stewart's root beer, vanilla cream or black cherry and if I'm in Philly, I'll have a fountain chocolate soda.

      Pepsi is nasty!

I gave up carbonated drinks when I was 20 because it used to burn my esophagus (or so it felt that way). I drink water, unsweetened iced tea and coffee, no sugar. About twice a year I have beer (Sam Adams) and at our summer family barbeque, I drink one or two I.B.C. Cream Sodas.

    However...

As a teen, I preferred Coke when drinking bottled and Pepsi when drinking canned. And Coke was the one I used when I drank Bacardi Gold (way back when I was young).

Actually, I prefer RC (Royal Crown Cola), but it's not available very often, so when I do drink soda, I prefer Pepsi. About the only times I enjoy Coke is if it's on as ice at Mcdonalds or if it was in the bottle out of an old red Coke machine. Those were ice cold with ice running down the outside of the bottle. That first sip would totally quench my thirst. Ahhh....Lol.

RC is the best. It used to routinely beat both Pepsi and Coke in blind taste tests. RC was also created before either Coke or Pepsi.

Marketing has nothing to do with taste buds. I wouldn't drink RC cola with someone else's mouth and I wouldn't' offer a Pepsi to man dying of thirst. I'm many things, but cruel is not one of them.

The problem with blind taste test is you can ask 10 people and get your results and if you ask ten others you can get different results.

Trying to say that one soda tastes better than another is kinda silly, but with that said, Coke is the best. lol

Yet in taste test after taste test RC beat both Coke and Pepsi, so your point doesn't hold up to reality. And while marketing doesn't have anything to do with taste buds, it has everything to do with what people THINK they like better, as well as what they buy.

RC is definitely better than Pepsi. Pepsi was never all that good - tasted like syrup to me. I liked Coke better than RC, though - and it was that bite it had before the gov made them take out their "secret" ingredient. I never liked it after that. Some people say the classic is the same thing as the original, but it's not. Once they took the coke out of the coke, it completely lost its zap - and its claim to the name "Coca" cola.

I'm grateful that I never developed a taste for sweetened, colored, carbonated water, but that blind test you refer to reminds me of similar studies concerning wine tasting. It seems that people's taste buds really are affected - at least partially - by their perceptions of what they're ingesting.

Using an MRI, researchers found that when their test subjects believed they were drinking an expensive wine, there was a higher activity in the part of the brain that experiences pleasure. This occurred even when the wine samples were swapped for cheaper ones, unbeknown to the subjects.

Coke way better! Taking that first sip of a cold can of Coke is so crisp and refreshing. There is nothing like it. Pepsi tastes like its trying to replicate that, and is failing miserably. Pepsi is too sweet and it tastes flat. There is no comparison. Coke beats Pepsi by far. Their marketing is better too. Coka Cola doesn't need a ton of celebrities to endorse their product like Pepsi does. If a restaurant doesn't have Coke than I go elsewhere.

Well, l have ignored this thread, but thought that l should take a look!

      Yes, Coke, tried Pepsi, yuck!

But l only buy Coke in a large glass bottle, the fizz lasts longer, and it is more nostalgic, and healthier for that matter?

But we also have the new, tiny Coke cans, ideal for sneaking into Cinemas, well that and a Toblerone!

Although the small ones keep selling out, and l have to buy the bigger Toblerone, and eat it of course!

  • As per my opinion Pepsi is best, because its advertisement is very good and is wide recognized beverage brands all over the world.

What ever perception of all about soft drinks may be, but the common ingredient in all of them is very harmful which is known as h2o i.e carbon dioxide, we all have studied upto 12th and from our teenage listening about it. Now if comes to whisky it is not much harms the liver unless pepsi or any soft drinks etc is not added to it. Clean your toilet with all soft drinks and stay healthy.Regards

I like Coca Cola Life. It has a green label. It is made with natural sugar instead of corn syrup. Something like that.

Both are NWO poison - read the ingredients.

however with Rum they seem to be much better.

PepsiCo shareholder had filed a resolution with the Securities and Exchange Commission in an effort halt the company from contracting with Senomyx, which, according to documents collected by Vinnedge, used cell lines derived from aborted babies in its process of producing artificial flavor enhancers.

I love Coca Cola more than Pepsi. Coke has better flavor and has the right balance of sugar to cola flavor, while Pepsi tastes too sweet.
