Sounds like a meal served at the Heart Attack Cafe ...all that fatty meat, sausages, kidney fat and pig's blood, big slabs of British bacon, along with potatoes and beans

A Full English Breakfast (a.k.a The Fully Monty, a.k.a. A Fry Up) consists of some combination of fried eggs, bacon, sausages, tomato, toast, black pudding, potatoes, mushrooms and baked beans.
Doesn't look or sound good to me.

They left out the important part, plus two big mugs of British tea and a couple of fags.

The American Heart Association may be the last to admit it, but the link between saturated fats and heart disease is rapidly becoming discredited thanks to studies like the ones summarized here:

Meta-analysis of prospective cohort studies evaluating the association of saturated fat with cardiovascular disease. - PubMed - NCBI

The real bad boys are trans fats, and sugar in all its guises (including refined carbs).

And anyone who hasn't tried rashers of unsmoked back or streaky bacon, hasn't tasted bacon.

Yeah ... I actually pay no attention to studies about food. I don't eat fatty meats, especially for breakfast. The breakfast actually does look disgusting to me. I eat a lot of fresh fish and seafood, and for red meat, deer meat, 5-7 servings of fresh vegetables per day, poultry, about 3 servings of fresh fruit per day, no trans fat products, eggs, cottage cheese (non fat), and very little bread, pasta and white rice and practically zero sugar and corn syrups and use Olive Oil for cooking and over vegetables rather than butter and other oils.

What I follow is basically the Mediterranean Diet, slightly altered by removing the very moderate amount of sugar allowed and removing the breads and pasta allowed. There's a medical reason for eating the way I eat and this diet works for me. I was diagnosed with Prediabetes and have reversed it and at the age I am, I am on no regular medications and never have been.

I remember when studies came out and said too many eggs were bad. Then they backtracked on that. I never altered my consumption of eggs either way.

Heart attack or not, eating a lot of fatty meats is a good way to get fat, but I found this story to be somewhat amusing in a tragic sort of way.

Heart Attack Grill "spokesperson" dies from heart attack, owner says - CBS News

"Heart Attack Grill" spokesman dies at 29 - CBS News

I forgot this was an International forum, so I am posting a revised comment. Please ignore fags, Lol

    English transalation for fag is
ciggie, cough stick, wheezers, coffin nail, snout.

A full English breakfast is quite Delicious, it is said that the places that serve this meal do not have to clean the plates afterwards, it is even known that the patterns on the plates have disappeared.

The finest food ever to grace the planet. I have eaten it many times in the past.

I have just given up soda's (which I love) pretty much entirely responsible for making my stomach bloat up. Feeling better already.

No, I'm not going to eat that plateful of stuff. I rarely ever have even lunch and usually just have something decent at dinner. Some snacks afterwards, but breakfast? Big UGH! Eating breakfast is a rare event for me, and that's usually only if I am out and about pretty early in the day.

Hardest thing for me is giving up coffee with cream. I was told that it will be healthier for me to take my coffee black - no sugar, no cream. It is just so hard! I particularly like iced coffee which is doubly bad. It is hard to resist coffee when you are working at night or for 24 hours.

I would never give up coffee for any reason. I use pure Stevia extract to sweeten it and a low fat creamer.

I think I'm next. Even though they are diet drinks, water is preferable.

Unbelievably, bottled water is more expensive than soda.

My favourite is Canada Dry Ginger Ale, at least 3-4 per day (no other brand comes close) and coke at restaurants.

The wife has an undersink water mineraliser which filters tap water and then puts minerals in to it as it goes through mineralized rocks before coming out of the fosset. It tastes real good.

Although I hate cold tea I'm rather partial to liptons citrus green tea. Even that is laced with sugar but it is getting rid of the carbonation that was bloating me, distinctly less bloated, if you just stop for 24 hours, you will feel the difference.

Cremated bacon as found in the US should be in an Urn, not eaten.

That is. I get it at Hannafords supermarket were it's a little over 6 bucks for a 4 pack of 12oz. bottles.
I won't pay 34 bucks for a six pack of anything

Sometimes it's hard for people in the US to remember that food is still real food elsewhere. The animals there aren't fed the same crap or injected with hormones and antibiotics, etc and so on, so it's still real food.

I am curious, though - exactly what is black pudding? I've never heard of it. I love yorkshire pudding, but pudding here means something totally different from pudding in that context, too - so I don't know what to think black pudding might be.

Last --- the baked beans really surprised me. I always thought of that as American food. Never realized that the beloved baked beans that traditionally show up as part of the fair at any self respecting bbq over here are actually a UK delicacy.

It's a blend of pork fat, pig's blood, oatmeal, onions and seasoning and is usually served fried or grilled. It's not nearly as disgusting as it sounds, although a little goes a long way.

For those still resolutely anti-fat, consider that lions and other carnivorous predators will tend to prefer the fatty meat around the organs of their prey, leaving the animal's leaner muscle for the scavengers. They recognize those parts with the higher nutritional benefit.

Had to look that up. Yes, there is a similarity, but scrapple sounds more like white pudding (again with the puddings, Sal ), which is basically black pudding without the blood.

Doesn't sound that bad. It does, though, sound like whenever you people over there don't have a name for something, you just call it "pudding". LOL.

The fat issue, I thought had been put to rest. Cells have a coat of fat around them and if you don't get fat, you are not courting health. People over here were getting extremely sick - some to the point of dying because they were on a no-fat kick. It's the type of fat that matters. All these hydrogenated gmo fats are deadly. Fats with Omegas are extremely healthy. I'm really glad I never bought into that fat crap science. The fat phobia crowd also sucked up the cholesterol bs pretty well and it's a very known fact that we need it or our veins will leak all the blood out of them. Women need more than men, too, some have gotten very ill from their stupid pharms to lower it to danger points.

A lot of people don't "get" that we actually need cholesterol and that if their bad cholesterol is too high - there's a way to lower it very naturally. It's called get off your *ss and take a walk.

I had a friend that almost died from cleaning all the choloesterol out of his system and refusing to eat fats. He kept being hospitalized and given transfusions because his blood was "disapearing" (!!!?) and I finally asked him if they knew that he was cleaning his cholesterol out..........they hadn't even asked. How do you trust yahoos like this to tell you what to eat. Eat it. If your health starts going to shyte - stop eating it.
