I saw the headline and was hoping this was an announcement that the forum was going to start charging a membership fee to keep out spammers.

Of course, that might make sense, so I don't know why I got my hopes up.

They already tried the payed membership fee here about a year before Freelancer bought the site.

Automated spam stopped pretty much instantly.
New memberships slowed to a trickle.

If I remember correctly the short lived membership fee was $1.

No doubt the majority of new forum profiles for years has always been automated link spam. That's the price of free profiles.

You have Control+Whitacre issues. You need to take the day off and relax. Press Pause/Break and then the Home key., otherwise it could mean the End key for you.
