Are Income Claims and Promises Now Allowed?

Just curious. Seems like they are since there are a lot of WSOs being approved with obvious claims and promises.

If the rules have changed, that's cool. Y'all can change them as you see fit.

But if the rules are as they were 6 months ago, something is slipping through the cracks big time and making reports as requested by the forum staff aren't helping at all.

It would seem to me that anyone doing that better have all the ducks, ducklings and eggs in order or it could be against FTC rules/regs.

I've noticed that too, Mark. But just checked the rules and they don't appear to have changed:

Rule #17: Income Claims & Guarantees

Sellers are not to make claims around income that has been made unless this income can be verified through Warrior Payments. Sellers are not permitted to make claims about or imply that income will result from purchasing a WSO.

This will be strictly enforced to protect the Warrior community.

This is applicable to the WSO Marketplace and all sub-forums.
Apparently the "strictly enforced" part has gone by the wayside...

A well as the FTC caring about what IM'ers do that could be against their rules. Methinks they have much bigger fish to fry than some clown selling a $17 WSO. At least I sure hope they do.

Considering the fact that they get to levy an $11,000 fine for each infraction, I'm thinking they wouldn't mind taking on that whole forum just for kicks. However - I would also imagine that they aren't looking here for them. Allen was really good about keeping the place clean. It would probably only take one or two people with an attitude to get the FTC in here. It might even be bad for Freelance if they did because they'd probably be responsible for claims made by advertisers from countries not under the FTC control. Having the ad on an US based site might be enough for them to bite, though. I don't make idiotic claims so never read the rules that closely.

Wonder if I could get in hock by saying that reading my post could save WSO advertisers $11,000 in advertising related fees?
