Hey guys, I am so very sorry I've been gone for so long without a peep!

I've been ill and hit hard with family from out of town all coming at once as well as taking a little get away for our 32nd wedding anniversary.

I think the last time I spoke with you all, I had double pneumonia. Well, one lung cleared but the other didn't, then it cleared, then my allergies kicked in, and with meds, I finally got completely clear. I was well for about 5 days and then they hit again and right now, I've got allergy induced asthmatic bronchitis.

I have another doctor's appointment tomorrow. My doc isn't quite sure what to do, saying it seems I'm allergic to the air I breathe with the dust and mold allergy. =(

I think maybe being so stressed with all the company here in my new smaller home may have played a role. Now that my brother is safe back in Missouri and his children safe at home too, and my in-laws staying somewhere else this week, I may get somewhat better as I detox, lol!

Thank you to all of you who sent me pm's with your concern. I really appreciate it.

Lexi, on the other hand is healthy and still growing like a weed! She is now 28 pounds and just turned 5 months old on the 19th of this month. I'm beginning to fear that she is part Rhodesian Ridgeback.

These look a lot like Lexi, minus the ridge, haha!

I'll take a new pic of her and post it, so you can see how big she is getting, lol!

I sure have missed you guys like crazy!!

    Hi Terra,
Sorry about the recent hardships. I was just thinking about you yesterday.

Glad to hear from you. I hope you find a solution to your sickness.

Health issues are a real bugger as I can attest.

Anyway, glad to see you and you have been missed here.

Good to see you back and in reasonable fettle.

Claude was so distraught at your absence he quit posting. He has pretty much left the forum, to write a book about you apparently. (Well a book about something)

I expect you are out looking at Amish Outlet stores for a suitable buggy for your dog to pull.

      Welcome back

        Poor Claude!

If you hear from him before I do, tell him to PM me, I can give him all kinds of juicy gossip about me for his book, haha!

Thanks guys, for remembering who I am. Online people can be so "out of sight, out of mind" and I'm glad that I am more than just a fleeting shadow of a memory.

Anyway, here's a new pic of Lexi, it's not the best quality as it was just my cell camera. She's at the top of the third floor stairs. Can you tell how big she is here?

Welcome back! And I'm so sorry for all of the health issues you have been dealing with. I know that is really brutal.

You can ignore my PM. I'm sure you have a zillion to respond to.

        Okay,

Here's another of Lexi, I think it better shows how big she is getting.

And here I thought she would top out at 20 to 25 pounds, but she still has 7 to 8 months of growing, lol!

But, I still love her and can't imagine life without her!

Lexi looks great -and it's so good to see you posting here!

Wouldn't be surprising if that played a role - many people around is a lot of allergens kicked up and the stress of too many people in close spaces can fuss with your immune system.

      Take care of you!

        Thanks, Kay!

Ain't that the truth! With everyone here, and it being their first time here, they all were asking me questions about where to locate certain things, permission to use some of my stuff, did I know this and that, come see this, will you play this game, will you watch this video, will you take me here, will you ride with me there, etc., etc.!

        I felt like this...

But looked much better doing it, haha!

I felt pulled in every possible direction all at once. I didn't get any rest and hardly any sleep at all. I'm sure I'll get much better now that everyone is gone.

Lexi is sad though. She loved all of that extra attention, lol!

Terra, welcome back! HeySal did say you were ill, had company and it would be a while before you got back. Take care of yourself first.

This seems like one of the really bad years for allergies. My sinus really gets messed up, and if the car windows are open passing certain areas (weedy), it gets too hard to breathe. Sinus happens inside the house when windows are open and when the air is on. That is not every day and I really can't figure out why. It could just be some allergen on the wind that day riding in from another area.

I'm certainly nowhere near what you go through, and I do hope your doctors can stop it before things get any worse.

Your "little" pup is definitely growing up, she's really lovely. Mixed breed rescue dogs are often quite the surprise as they get older and bigger. Our pup got bigger than what we thought, too, and she's exceptionally strong, more so than any other pup we've had. It's a good thing she loves us.

Lovely Armadillo, I mean baby pig, I mean dog.

    Glad you are back.

Maybe the fires have something to do with it, too.
I felt bad all day yesterday. It was hazy here from
the North West fires - and maybe one here in Colorado.

    Can't wait for the book.

Thanks Joe, I honestly appreciate the sentiment here, but I have to reply with some one-worders of my own.

      Florida ~ humid ~ mold

      Arizona ~ arid ~ dust

      =(

    Excepted.

Great title! I think it's genius and I am going to use it whenever I want to "apologize" to someone.
It's funny that the Google search for the phrase "except my apologies" finds 35,000 websites.

It IS good to see you back again, Terra. I hope you feel better soon.
I totally understand multiple health issues as I am going through a lot myself and some days it just plain sux!

I believe online friendships can be as strong as "real life" ones. One of best friends lives 2 hours plane ride from me and we have only met for real once. However, I have known him for 7 years and we chat online almost daily.

Perhaps, but I think it is more the meds combined with messing with a newbie just like way back in the good old days.

          OMGosh!

I just googled Rhodesian Ridgeback Doxie mix...
