Wow - the number of lights surprised me for some reason. That's amazing - would be so strange to be up there looking down on us.

  I have watched this a few times. A few things I noticed:
  
  A moon rise.
  
  Several lightning storms.
  
  The Aurora Borealis. The glowing green mist-like lights in the atmosphere.

  Yeah. I kept thinking, if we could just prevent the amount of electric light that ends up directed upward, we'd save an incredible amount of fuel and reduce a huge amount of pollution, etc., with zero impact on the amount of light needed/produced on the ground.

This is a cool video.

I thought I had heard all modern day conspiracy theories, but I had a customer who claims there are no satellites and no space station.

  You can actually see the ISS pass overhead with the naked eye:
  ISS - Visible Passes
  
  What's even more visible is the reflection of sunlight off of the set of Iridium satellites:
  Iridium Flares
  If you can watch when you're near the flare center, after dark, the (brief) light is rather impressive.

Thanks, David. I've seen the space station a few times.

That particular customer comes with a group we have annually, and will
babble all the conspiracy theories without provocation. The other guys think
"he must be off his meds".
