Apparently Minecraft creator is lonely and depressed after becoming filthy rich.

Do you think you'd end up just like him after a while? What has he done wrong in your opinion to feel like this?

He worked hard for his windfall, didn't just hit the lottery, so why doesn't he feel accomplished/complete in life with all the resources he has now?

Because he can't get over himself.

He's self involved and self pitying.

Found a great girl, but she's afraid of me and my life style and went with a normal person instead.
Or maybe she was bored with the "me me me angst" and a frivolous lifestyle with no purpose except to acquire things and entertain oneself.

I would Musk and try to save the world, but that just exposes me to the same type of assholes that made me sell minecraft again.
Good excuse for doing nothing - for solving no problems - for helping no one but yourself....but not a fulfilling lifestyle.

It's not that he's doing anything "wrong" - just that he's not bothering to do anything "right". He's existing in his bubble with his money - how boring.

This guy is a creator of stuff. Now did he just create Minecraft in order to get rich and then stop creating? The question is, does he enjoy the project itself, the creating, or just what it can bring in material wealth. If he likes creating he should embark on another project.

The amount of money he has is obscene. He can give a ton away to charity, to worthwhile projects (or even run them himself) and still have more than enough to live a first class lifestyle.

He probably just needs stimulation to embark upon new projects having exhausted what he found to be empty playboy excesses.

Human evolution is defined by our need to climb mountains. Doing so enabled us to walk upright and eventually go on to invent selfies. Nifty, eh? The question is, when you get to the top of the mountain, what next?

If I knew Notch, I'd give him some advice:

    Find a new mountain.

One thing money puts a real burden on is friendship and making new ones. Money often changes how your friends see you and its near impossible to know new ones like you for you.

I think he just wants sympathy though. If the money is such a downer on his life he could give it away.

I don't even know what minecraft is. It's funny what money can do to people though, especially some people that it doesn't have a direct affect to. Some people are like well done, others are just negative or jealous. If you start earning decent money you can certainly tell who your real friends are.

Yes, this a***h*** should go over to Africa and see how the other half live, (the poor half).

Then do something to change it!

This guy could change the world for the better, but he just p**** it away on nonsense.

Would this do this to me, no, not really, l would go down the Tony Stark, route, but without the closet women and fancy cars!

        Well, maybe a few women?

            Nope!

I mean send people to war, and some come back with issues, and some get a machine gun and go nuts!

Do we really want nutter that can survive without sleep, food or water, and have more strength than a 20 year old on ice?

Or worse he can regenerate as quickly as a Wrath soldier, and take a whole magazine clip to keel over?

Sounds like he doesn't know the value of money.

He could do so much good, but instead decides to lead an empty existence partying the night away. Maybe he's just coming of age (as we all do in our 20's) and realizing that there's more to life. At least he acknowledges it…the next step would be to actually do something.

Not that he'd listen to some random forum posters, but he'd be just fine donating some time to figure out what causes get his attention, and then use his resources to make the world a better place.

Kinda reminds me of the people who win the lottery and blow it all in a year. They could do so much good...

Maybe he's feeling guilty because he's a billionaire due to creating digital legos. Perhaps he's depressed because he sold his legos and now wishes he still had them. Billionaire problems, am I right? Next he'll probably feel down because he used Twitter as a free therapy session rather than paying to lay on someone's couch. I'm guessing he'll be ok.

Yes, he just needs a hobby, send people to Mars or send a probe to take high res, shots of the moon and post it all online, (without the gov, Photoshopping)!
