Hi guys, it's me, Terra.
I've missed you all!
I have some time now that the weekend has hit.
Where to start...
A few weeks back (time seems to be such a blur to me as of late) my niece was in a terrible accident and was in ICU with a fractured skull, jaw, cheek, chin and bleeding from her brain.
She was released about 10 days later, as the trickle bleed had stopped. Her first venture out of the house was to go shopping with her oldest daughter. While shopping, she grabbed her head and then passed out.
She was rushed to the hospital, then immediately to another hospital because they discovered she had a brain aneurysm! They found it had slightly ruptured and that it had ruptured 2 weeks prior as well. The exact day of the accident.
Anyway, she's been in ICU slightly sedated and with no visitors allowed as she was to have no stimulation. She was a ticking time bomb so to speak. They didn't want it to burst as that would be fatal. They couldn't go in and do surgery either as it was too agitated.
She is my sister's only child and needless to say, my sister is beside herself and a total wreck!
Okay, my niece was just moved out of ICU and into a private room a couple of days a go and if the aneurysm continues on the same path, with the spasms less and less and with shorter duration, they'll do surgery Friday, Oct. 2nd.
They're going to put in a coil and at least one stent. They won't know if she needs more until they are in.
Scary, scary, scary! All prayers, positive thoughts and energy are much appreciated.
Also, the local business I used to work for contacted me and begged me to come back and supervise. They told me I could choose whatever days and hours I wanted. So I told them Mon thru Fri, 7:30 to 12:30. No afternoons, evenings or weekends and they agreed. I always loved opening for them and now I get to do it all week long!
Again, missed you guys. I'll try to get here a little bit more often too, now that things are settling down and I'm getting used to my new routine.
