ASUS are thought to be the best constructed, best quality Laptop makes, so go buy one. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.

I'm not including Apple Mac of course because I'm pretty sure your a Windows Man. (IE: you have taste)

What will you use the laptop for?

For overall use, I would suggest the MacBook Air at your price point.

Well designed, durable, great battery life.

You'd be better off asking a psychic for the answer to that one. If you can find one who isn't busy predicting winning lottery numbers and stopping kids blowing stuff up all the time that is.

    For me:
    Tested over 3 year period:
    - I've tested 3 Acers - > 2 Failed 1 still Runs.
    - I've tested 1 Lenovo -> Probably my Best Laptop its converts to a tablet
    - I've Tested 1 Toshiba -> Great and runs well, but its freaking had so many issues, Screen went then keyboard went and now the battery
    - I've tested Asus and still going strong, just got it about 2 months ago, sound is crappy.

    Types of Tasks im doing:
    - Web Development Programming
    - Architecture 3D and rendering
    - Photoshop & illustrator Graphic design
    - Movie editing After Effects

I have literally fried an acer that it bombs all the time and is now useless.

If i could choose right now i would go with Microsoft surface book, its freaking amazing from what i hear, although im not sure if its within your budget in your country. Anyone test the Surface book?

You've been given a range of options to choose from. That's ,ore than enough information to start your own research and find one that meets your needs. If you're incapable of doing your own research and making a decision on what is bets for your business, you're probably not capable of running your own business. You'd be better off becoming an employee and let someone who is capable of making such decisions make them for you.

My experience with Lenovo has always been awesome and I rate them best as compare to other brands, due to its durability. After that I prefer Toshiba or HP, these brands are also good.

    Have you considered a Chromebook?

I have a Toshiba Chromebook 2 and it's excellent. I paid around $400 for it.

As long as you know what you're getting into, Chromebooks are an excellent choice.

I have been using the Toshiba Satellite for years. I have one (My Wife's" that is about 3 years old. I have a new one, and I have on that is still running on Windows XP that is still running strong. I use that one for any and all downloads. If I get a virus then I just format the disc reload XP and keep going.
