Union Threatens Quintin Tarantino

Usually I am someone who backs unions but this is something different. This union is threatening to not only protest and boycott Tarantino's movies but they are promising some sort of "surprise". This doesn't seem like a good idea on many levels and may just get more people to watch the new movie.

"Something is in the works, but the element of surprise is the most important element," Pasco said. "Something could happen anytime between now and [the premiere]. And a lot of it is going to be driven by Tarantino, who is nothing if not predictable."

Are they going to stop murdering unarmed citizens?

It looks like the union isn't smart enough to comprehend they're promoting the Tarantino movie for free. Each time the union rant makes news they're selling more movie tickets.

It's the old Donald Trump technique, keep them stirred up & they'll give you all the free publicity you want.

That means I'll go whether or not I would have beforehand ... just to prove to them that Americans don't like fascist bullies.

Like he doesn't have the right to speak out and protest against police brutality and like he doesn't have a point.

I won't see the movie since they're generally much more violent than any PCP smoking, out of control policeman, but I will send him my $10.

Just imagine the outrage if a citizen said that they had a 'surprise' in store for a police officer.

The armored personnel carrier with the roof-mounted 50 caliber machine gun would be parked in front of their house, within minutes.

      It is, no doubt.

Where did it start? My feeling is that the police institution lost sight of 'to protect and serve' years ago, coincidentally (?) coinciding with the 'war on drugs'.

I think that corruption and brutality have been within police departments for as long as there have been police departments, with some of them being a whole lot worse than others.

Take the case of the cops who were just arrested for killing a little kid in Louisiana and wounding the father in his car. They're being charged with 2nd degree homicide. The head of the state police there, who saw the body cam footage, said it was the most disturbing video he had ever seen. That (6 yr. old) kid had 5 bullets in his head and chest. The father has bullet fragments in his head and lung, but is still alive.

Those cops said they were pursuing him because of a warrant out on him. There was no warrant. There also was no weapon in the car and another cop called in as backup, said he was not acting in a threatening manner.

The biggest difference between brutality years ago, and I remember many instances of it, is that most people have smartphones and that just blows the lying cops stories right out of the water. It is hard to argue with a video showing exactly what happened.

Cops have traditionally refused to snitch on other cops. Now that there is often a video of the crime against a citizen, cops who lie are held accountable if they lie.

The us against them feeling that a lot of people are having is because this has become so prevalent, and we are seeing first hand via video what those cops are doing, and still mostly getting away with doing if the cases ever make it to court.

I'm sure we've all seen film footage of police on horseback and on foot clubbing and beating protesters and picket lines. Wouldn't is be interesting to see a group of citizens and union members on horseback or foot clubbing and beating a picket line or protest march of police officers.

I don't condone violence against protesters, union members or police officers. It would just be interesting.

I don't think it's any more prevalent than it's always been, the real difference is that now we have witnesses to the shit they've been pulling all along. Witnesses that can't be called crackheads in court and have their honest recollection twisted and turned into hallucinations and worse by lying lawyers protecting lying cops in a courts almost always presided over by former lying prosecutors.

And these witnesses are going to make all the difference in the world, and they are not going to go away. Thank you, Jesus.

I been waiting for this day, predicting it would eventually come.

Back in Feb, I wrote this (on another forum about a traffic stop).

I've been stopped for "taillights that were out", yet when I got home and checked they mysteriously had fixed themselves. I've been stopped for "speeding" at 2 over.

I've been asked if they could search my car on several occasions. And my answer is always the same "you have no warrant, and you have no probable cause, so the answer is no you may not search my car." In NC they had canine sniff at my car and the damn dog scratched at the rear quarter and marked up the paint. It took an hour to buff out the scratches. Warrant? We don't need no stinking warrants!

They act like I must have something to hide (I don't) or I have some kind of problem with cops (I do, but only with the douchey insecure ones who compensate by pushing people around or who think people who expect to be treated in accordance with the law are somehow automatically in the wrong).

I was stopped by NYPD (they work in pairs). They ordered me out of the car. One asked why I was in the neighborhood. I said I like to drive around. The other was trying to see whatever he could through the window. He asked me to leave the car open, I said I haven't given you permission to search it. The first asked where I was going. I said I didn't really know yet. He said I better get a destination and get there quick. I said "I'm sorry, I didn't realize I was on private property. How do I get back to the public road?" He said why won't I answer his questions? I said I was answering them. Cocksucker. He can lick my ass if he thinks I'm going to cooperate with that ****. You have a warrant? No? You have probable cause? No? Then pound sand, *******. It's a public road.

The problem, as always, is that you are either for cops or against them. As with everything else political these days, there is no sanity, no possibility of being FOR good cops, and AGAINST bad ones.

I think every American should always answer NO every single time any cop wants to look in the car, open the trunk, look in the house, come inside, period. No, I'm not doing anything wrong, but if I don't let you in my house, then you can't plant anything and claim it's mine. If I don't let you search my pockets you can't magically "find" something that wasn't there when I left the house. I'm not saying they were going to plant drugs in my car. But if I don't let em in the car, it sure makes it a lot harder doesn't it? If you aren't signing a waiver of immunity, then you ain't looking in my privates. Period.

A warrant doesn't only grant permission to search, it also establishes what specifcally they are looking for and why. Effectively, it's a waiver of immunity for any petty crap they find not specifically covered by the warrant, and the warrant has to be pretty narrowly written to stand up, and has to be based on some reasonable grounds.

But LET them search your house or car, and that's an UNBOUNDED search for ANYTHING ILLEGAL. How stupid do you have to be to agree to that???!?!?

And if EVERYONE said no ALWAYS, then you NYPD stop and frisk asshats wouldn't be able to circumvent the "we don't prosecute minor private personal use possession" policy by getting people to take something out of their pockets (at your request mind you) and then arresting them for public display!!! (research it. it's real. thank you NYPD.)

I also think wearable cameras are going to be an increasing factor in this. It's already starting to make a difference... as videos get posted outing the cretins who defile the uniform for everyone else. The next 10 years are going to see profound changes in this regard, as the camera will become the witness that previously was never available. I personally can't wait.

    BOYCOTT TARANTINO MOVIES!!!
    (Because they are terrible.)

    ***

We (the WF, the Internet, and the world) have had this conversation many times now.
I still believe technology will provide the solution, as it has for so many other problems
that our society has faced for so long. (Lies in forbidden topics, for example.)

When the ability to upload video to the Internet as it is recorded becomes more commonplace,
there will be no way to stop the truth.

And this will be a very good thing for all "sides".
