The last song that ever made number 1 on the Billboard end of year charts
was recorded in 1991.

I can still listen to this song today and never get tired of it.

Enjoy...or not.

Hmmm not a huge fan of that song - although I was when I was younger.

The Longbored Surfer - Billboard Year-End Charts There are the year end charts for anyone who wants to compare. Since 1991 the year end chart toppers are:

1992 - Boyz II Men - End of The Road
1993 - Whitney Houston - I Will Always Love You
1994 - Ace of Base - The Sign
    1995 - Coolio - Gangsta's Paradise
    1996 - Macarena
1997 - Elton John - Candle In The Wind 1997
    1998 - Next - Too Close
    1999 - Cher - Believe
    2000 - Faith Hill - Breathe
    2001 - Life House - Hanging By A Moment
2002 - Nickleback - How You Remind Me
    2003 - 50 Cent - In Da Club
    2004 - Usher - Yeah
2005 - Mariah Carey - We Belong Together
    2006 - Daniel Powter - Bad Day
    2007 - Beyonce - Irreplacable
    2008 - Flo rida - Low

I thought your original post was ludicrous - but not really - that's a ROUGH list. The Bryan Adams is definitely in the discussion. With my personal tastes I like 50's, Coolio's and maybe Boyz II Men better...but it is arguable.

Boy, Steven nailed it on this one. Looking at that list makes me think I've been living in a cave all these years.

I must have different musical tastes than the folks who made that list up. Give me Bush, or Green Day, or any good Honky Tonk song over some of that stuff.

      Whitney Houston? Paleeze...

I have to go back two more years to find a BB SotY that doesn't nauseate me.

    1989 - Chicago - Look Away

And back to 1984 for one that I still like.

    Prince - When Doves Cry

    Rock on!

Aw! I absolutely love Bryan Adams. When my sister got married that was the wedding song that they played for their first Husband and Wife dance, it was absolutely enchanting and romantic! I can only hope to bring the same message across when I meet my soul mate one day!
