how many times a week do you exercise? Do you think it is enough for you to be physically fit?

I do work out 6 days in week for about an hour and it seems enough for me because i also don't have any bad habits such as drinking, smoking etc.

Does lifting a drink to your lips, and going up and down the stairs to the bathroom, count as exercise?

I have this repulsive habit of exercising everyday and think I need to seek Tommy's advice on a more functional exercise program.

I do a full five day workout, with three days of weight training and two days of cardiothoracic conditioning. My trainer reccomended having in between days of just pure cardio so your body doesnt crash from all the strain that comes with working out.

Wow, no wonder you look so "smart"...I never excercise since 18, I just control my diet, all junk food I really refuse.

  • 4-5 days a week of jogging a weight training, and it is neve enough. I can say the love handles are going away. I have lost some belly fat, and put on a heck of alot of muscle. Starting to look pretty good, and feeling fit. Its my diet I really have to watch. Chocolate is my weakness.

I rarely, but I try to walk as much as I can.

Do some stretching once a while. No wonder my diet didn't really work, too little exercise.

  • I train in Mixed Martial Arts (UFC).........the school that I am at is full of past and current UFC fighters. Tough training, but I am hanging in there.

Looks easy on tv.......in actuality, it is some of the most demanding training to be found.

I always feel better after I make it through yet another class.

I went to one of my friends MMA classes - it happened to be BJJ day.

I spent about 45 minutes grappling with some other noob in the class - afterward I discreetly went to the bathroom and puked. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is one hell of a workout.

When I started out a couple years ago, I was more than happy to lounge around on my laptop every day. After a few months, I learned that the body isn't too fond of that kind of inactivity. So, I try to exercise 6 days a week, at least 30 minutes, usually an hour. Weekends are the best though - can get a pickup game going in the park.

I power lift (weight train) three times a week and do cardio twice. It keeps my body strong, my blood pressure low (118/78), and my mind clear.

I could not function well or handle life's stresses without regular vigorous exercise.

I play a lot of Dance Dance Revolution. It's probably the nerdiest way to get fit but it's damn fun. I also strength-train and bellydance, am also studying yoga/Pilates as well as martial arts. Oh yeah, I also swim laps when I get the chance... I think I'm covered

I also don't exercise as in going to the gym.. I just spend some minutes or hours in cleaning the house and I guess its sufficient.. I may not be that fit but it really helps when you do simple exercises everyday.. No need to go to the gym to workout for me..

When I was in the Marine Corps (about 27 years ago), I ran 3 miles a day twice a day.

When I got out of the Marine Corps, I decided that I wasn't going to run ever again, unless somebody or something was on fire--

    and it better be ME!

So, I'm guessing that would qualify as a "no."

    Make it a great day!
