Ok, l have only had about 7.5 years experience online, but l will give it a try?

1. spend years working like a dog on crack, with a website or blog, and then realize that without paid traffic it is a dog with fleas?

2. Work for 7 months to a year with PPC, or paid traffic and realize that it is too expensive and limited, to make viable or another dog with different fleas?

3. Spend another year developing your own products, and realize yet again, more fleas?

4. Try anything you can get your hands on, spend hundreds, and seriously consider listening to your Satellite Nav, when it tells you to drive off the bridge, for probably years!

5. Finally realize that hub sites with their own traffic is the only viable option left online and stay with that.

So, Fiverr, might be a slave sight, with a 20 gig limit, but it does have traffic.

Graphicriver, and its other sites, tough to get going, and create for, but as l have found it can lead to other opportunities.

Creative Market, you need to create a folio, and hope that you can get in. But if so, no review team, everything you do gets accepted, and they also have massive mailouts.

But it could take months of hard work to get a product into their newsletter, combo's, etc.

Although 3 to 7k in a week isn't bad?

That is about it, most shiny objects out there are BS, but the ones above, are the best self traffic sites out there.

Honestly, there are probably thousands (if not more) different ways to make money online..
Is there a more specific question you have about this?

Rather than 5 ideas, I recommend 5 steps:

1. Locate and explore a niche you are passionate about and is qualified as profitable

2. Build a high-value authority site within the niche

3. Create content and generate traffic

4. Develop a connection with your audience and discover their problems.

5. Monetize your business with a problem-solving solution.

Really, cause I did this. Here is my story: I am a software developer, and when I got interested in day trading, I did what came naturally, and wrote indicators and automated strategies for TradeStation. I met a trader online (never met him in person) who said, hey, what if we start our own day-trading chat room, and sell your automated strategies? I said yes, and we went 50-50. I wrote the strategies, I wrote the website, I wrote the webinars. He ran the chat room with my help, he did the phone support, I did the email support, and we both did the webinars.

We got traffic to our site because we posted our track record, and had a good looking site with lots of explanation on it. We did about 6 webinars a year. We did awesome customer support, a lot it on the phone. That was it for finding traffic. One year we did a quarter of a million in profit.

Thus my #1 above, RABID
