If you are younger than 35, and from the US, I have a question for you!
I saw an earlier video from this guy, trying to tell americans about the two dumbest mistakes he, as an "american" made. Two I have NEVER seen an american do! NOT EVER! And one is even the same in the US, although women might be a bit more likely to realize it.
Anyway, the next video came up and I watched it. It is:
The US, from what I have heard USED to be like they described the UK system here. When I went to school, they taught crazy things like the guy here speaks of, but we were NOT graded so much in most of school. In MY case, when I went to the first few grades in private school, we were given like 5 grades in each subject, though only one really counted on the transcript, and were the only ones that were generally like A,B,C,D,F(In the US A meant Excellent, B is Above Average, C is Average, D is Below Average, and F is FAIL). Based on what I have seen in movies and TV, I think this was a normal practice in the US up to maybe like 5th grade. The other grades were more so parents could see what might affect the grade, etc... But in public school, and a private school I later went to, and in college, it was just ONE grade. The grades covered CONTENT of homework, CONTENT of quizzes, CONTENT of tests, etc.... It did NOT cover participation or questions.
About when did you graduate highschool, 90s, 2000s, 2010s, and did you see the same things in the US as this guy described?
