Can I promote a product, that I am giving away for free

Hi

I have made a product, that I want to give away for free.
Yes, absolutely free, no signup, no optin, nothing.

Are we allowed to promote such products in the general forum categories,
or will it still be considered self promotion ?

I mean to say, that I don't want to post a classified ad or WSO, I want to post in the general section like SEO, IM, product rating section.

    Bo, that would be considered self-promotion. You can however have a link to your offer in your signature, which I see you already have.

    No, you cannot. It has to be either in your signature, without you calling attention to it, or in Classified or WSO.

    ...or use the War Room. Some of those threads have a lot of OP thanks so I'm assuming they get decent CTRs on their downloads/links. At least with the War Room you know the traffic are already buyers.
