A little concerned, surprised she did not drop by to say happy new year or something. Anyone know anything?

She started working again so she's probably pretty busy. Imagine she had a shit load of company over the holidays or went visiting herself. Hopefully, her health is alright.

Miss Terra...yes I was wondering the same thing. It seems like the "classiness" around this place gets taken down a notch or two when she is not around

      Good woman, good person

      DING DING DING!

      You were right!

Took a temporary promotion as assistant store manager through January 15th. They offered me a $5 an hour raise. I took it. During the busiest shopping month of the year! All I can say is OMG!

Remind me never to do that again, LOL!

Although I banked some money to use for the Motor home hubby and I are going to get this Spring, it practically killed me.

Yep! Had my brother here from Missouri and my niece and nephew. Couldn't get back home because the state is under water and all flights got booked up quickly, but he finally got a flight out this evening.

As for my health, it is A-one!

Seems I was allergic to my old house. Oh, and Lexi is growing like a weed! She is 9 months old now and weighs 42 &1/2 pounds!

I had a wonderful Christmas and so far, so good for the New Year.

I wish you all a very happy New Year too. Things should calm down after the 15th and I should be able to get here more often then.

Thanks Sal, for the phone call. It was delightful as always!

I didn't think she was going to be a tiny one...would love to see a phone when you have a chance.

Glad to hear the health is behaving - you thought it was the house and seems you were right!

Miss having you around here - but Claude and Kurt are no fun when they're under contorl anyway!

I'm thinking the beautiful dog is part Vizla or Rhodesian Ridgeback.

Well we have a consensus, then. Terra and I had agreed during our chat on the phone that she might be part Ridgeback. Glad to see we're not alone in thinking so.

I'll probably give her a call since everyone is starting to worry about her again...................that and it's kinda time to catch up to each other now that the holiday rush is over.

Well, as I said on the phone - I'd have to see pics to really be sure --- but the pics are in and I'm pretty certain we're all spot on. She's definitely got ridgeback in her.......and strongly so, not just a little.

As I also mentioned - there's a lot of ridgebacks in that general area, too. I took care of a pup for 4 months that was headed for leader dog school when she turned a year old. Extremely intelligent animals.

The Visla also is a good guess - but I don't think that breed is very prevalent in that area so not as likely...................as far as I know. I could be way wrong, but I don't believe I am.

Another good choice - but I don't think so. First, I'm not sure how many there are up where Terra is........there's a lot of hunters though, so maybe.

It seems to me that the coloring is off, though.

Terra - any sign of a reddish skin on that dog?

          Do you mean on Lexi?

If so, no reddish skin, but some reddish fur, mainly just on the top of her ears.

If so, no reddish skin, but some reddish fur, mainly just on the top of her ears.

I don't know what dog Lexi has in her but she is absolutely gorgeous!

              And Bam!

You hit the most important part of all, the I don't know what breeds part, but...

              But I love her regardless,
but I don't really care and
              but she is absolutely gorgeous!

I wouldn't trade her for any other dog in the entire world!

Is she alpha at all? I worked at a doggy daycare and the owner had
female that was part Rhodesian and she was very alpha. And very aloof to
                humans and dogs. LOL

I have pretty much come to like all nice doggies - still partial a bit to huskies.

Oh, she is very alpha. Especially when the grandkiddies come over, lol!

But she is the friendliest thing! She's like me, a people person, well, except she's a doggie, haha!

She loves attention too. Her favorite thing to do is give high fives.

She is very protective and barks and growls and gets her hackles up whenever anyone pulls up in the driveway. Then she will watch our reactions to the people and when she sees us welcome them, then her tail wags so fast, it gets her whole bottom going. She's a riot!

I'm leaning towards Lexi being part Rhodesian.
