From what I see, you can no longer see how many Warriors have viewed the posts ! Am I doing something wrong  Am I hallucinating ? Please tell me I am wrong, I beg you to !

    Still here for me too.

I would like to add that there are now always a couple of headline posts that do not have a line separating them.

Nope, NEVER had to do that before, and the font is even different (scary thought, lol). SOMETHING is going on (like a test to see if we click more on some threads than others, just my thinking).

PLEASE, I do not have an additional 2-3 hours a day to click on EVERYTHING. Well, as a matter of fact, my head is stuffed as it is, maybe I should just IMPLEMENT and come back in a couple of month, lol.

      See ya'... (Maybe).

I would say this is the issue.

Seriously...try clearing your cache. If that doesn't work, reboot your computer. (Just do it.)

If that doesn't work, try switching to a new browser.

Still no luck after that, buy a Mac and call it a day.

Have you adjusted the size of your text, ctrl+ ctrl- to adjust (Firefox and IE) at some stage and not set it back? It may also be the Text Size for your browser via the View option, but more likely ctrl+ ctrl- (not sure which browser you are using).

Have you installed some new add-on recently?

Please, to help, we need more information on your environment. Browser, version, add-ons etc.

Vikuna2009+ in the first part of my post I referred to the size of the font issue as perhaps being related to the ctrl++ (to make larger) or ctrl-- (to make smaller). Did you try this or the View - Text Size option?

Keyboard strokes to change font size:
Larger: ctrl+ ('Control' and '+' keys)
Smaller: ctrl- ('Control' and '-' keys)

Changing browser text size from menu:

Select 'View' from top menu, then 'Text Size'

Did a little pokin' around and found 132 cookies, too bad I don't drink milk anymore (too toxic, lol). Threw em' all out and did a search for Warriorforum. And yes, the count is back

However, the size of the font is larger so now I have to scroll sideways. No, I did not do anything last night, it just appeared out of the blue

    Any advise

P.s. While poking around, I actually found out how many times I've been visiting the Warriorforum, boy was I SHOCKED!!!

    5896 times...

Talk about some serious time, lol. How many times have YOU visited? Please be honest and do not make your numbers up, lol. Maybe we can have a contest :p

    Vikuna - scan for viruses.

Any time anything goes funky that is the first thing you need to do - there's a lot of wicked stuff going around.

Use AVAST - it's free and will stop stuff others can't find. Google "download avast"..

      HeySal,

read another thread on the forum where the guy installed AVAST and his whole system went whacko due to the fact that he still had another virus program installed and the two classified each other as 'viruses'.

AVAST seems the way to go but I need to have my head screwed on right before I try it. A few more cups of herbal tea will do it, lol

I think HeySal means scan for viruses, and if you don't have virus software then consider AVAST. If you already have software then keep it up to date and use it to scan.

This is one reason why I asked earlier if you had installed any new add-ons , or any new software for that matter, recently.

NO - what I meant was scan with AVAST -
Those JS viruses out there are pretty mean and most virus software won't detect them - once they get in there they will eat everything in their paths and many are actually losing their computers to them. At the very least, if they are not removed they eat security holes in your machine and plant root kits.

Google "JS virus" and look at the comments.

A real quick test for some of them is to google ANYTHING....look at the lower left after you click and see if numbers like an IP or 777 show briefly before you get a normal URL search there.....then - see if google is acting normal - are there the adds on the right side? Are all the results pretty irrelevant if you click them or are all nothing but strings of adword type sites? If so you have one of the redirects for a fact.

I say Avast because it knows viruses by algorithms - it knows how they act so detects them while most other anti-virus works via a reverse engineering of a virus, which means they have to catch a script, disect it, then build a program to detect and stop it. In the meantime the virus runs rampant - and unfortunately, some of the new ones are built to escape detection once they are on the machine.

Sure HeySal, scan with AVAST. It just that AVAST is not the only one capable of scanning for js malware etc, or use heuristics to detect behavioral characteristics.

We don't even know yet what, if any, anti-malware software Vikuna2009+ is using and with the limited info being supplied, it is hard provide specific advice. Vikuna2009+ may not be able to handle any false positives due to any of her own security software.

Hence while I agree an AVAST scan could be beneficial, lets see what Vikuna2009+ has to report back.

I think the point is, 1 step at a time for Vikuna2009+. I am still curious to know if Vikuna2009+ has installed any new software recently, especially any browser add-ons. Is the WF the only site this is happening on? etc

        Hi guys,

I have not installed anything. I have AVG Free Anti-virus. I am not a technical person so I really do not know what to do. The only way my brain works is with step by step instructions. According to AVG, everything is fine...

Vikuna2009+ thanks for the extra info, but still need answers to these questions.
          • Is the font different only on WF, or other websites ?
          • Did you try the ctrl+ or ctrl- ?
          • Did you try the View-TextSize ?
          • Is you AVG up to date and have you performed a scan?
It is difficult to isolate the problem without answers to these questions.

Now that we know which anti-virus software you are using, AVG Free, you may not have a large degree of protection from rootkits and other forms of malware. The full version provides more so maybe upgrading or use the free trial.

Just on AVAST, as mentioned by HeySal, the free version of AVAST could be better suited (than free AVG) as it does provide a degree of rootkit protection as well. If you are going to get a copy I suggest getting it from somewhere like download . com

Remember with Free versions of both AVG and AVAST that free is not necessarily for commercial use. I believe for the full version, trials are OK for non-commercial, but best to check first.
