Billion Dollar Shopping Center!

Ok, now that we have cleaned up the mess, it is back to something fun!

My local shopping center, had recent additions added, it took 10 years for council approval, etc, and costed almost a billion, $775,000,000, more or less, but you can see every cent.

Ok, first image is showing the council offices, and library above it, (always cold, to almost freezing). A godsend yesterday, with our top of 42 digrees.

I took this on the stinker of a hot day....

And the view from inside...

What is on my screen, is a 2 month project that l am finally starting to finish.

Then the view from the other direction.

And inside when you walk past this and right...

The new section, has a 70's, futuristic kick to it, which is pretty cool!

And the other way...

And at ground level...

Myers is in the distance, (that was already there, and a handful of shops near it, (which can't be seen from this angle).

The roof does have a Casino feel to it, but it still looks good, so...

Pretty nice all up, and it is still being built.

And this, well this is Safeways, (or Woolies for US residents) we had strong winds with the cool change, so Safeways power went, and Coles was on emergency power.

Basically bought a pizza, and ate it by candlelight when l got home, but it came back on eventually!

Nice. The white part upstairs reminds me of cloud city (Star Wars V) from the inside.

What has been your involvement here?

      And clothing!

But, it has been good to walk around, when it is at, "walk for 10 km outside, without a drink and risk death, weather conditions"!

Basically everything you can see in the images wasn't there a year ago, so big bucks stuff.

And as for the cloud city, (like it) part, it goes for another 10 - 15 metres, but that is still under construction.

Glad that l didn't go and see a movie, l would have been half way through Star Wars and the picture would have gone blank, with an usher apologizing and handing out free passes, (happened once).

        Ha!

Yeah -- gotta factor the clothin' into your life.

Nuthin' ever got fixed by people workin' an' playin' while wearin' only heels -- especially the construction workers fixin' up the world's infrastructure.

Shit, yeah -- I forgot Genghis Khan.

He was notorious for ridin' out in jus' his heels -- even on cold days when he shoulda worn a wooly hat also.

Accordin' to ancient Mongol legend, when Khan laid waste to Urgench, he "straddled the mighty beast of his horse in nudiest splendor, his bile stomach bulbous as a concubine with child, his serpentine passion angel marauding 'pon the saddle in ropely coils, his feet adorned with spikèd boots of a curious kind unseen by many menfolk."

I figure we lost sumthin' in the translation, but if I had been the Urgench commander, I woulda surrendered to Khan's brazen firepower right away.

Yep, still under construction, but it will be great when it is finished.

And another view of the sky city, LOL.

Victorias, Secret is a clothing store, if you are wondering, well, most of the shops are, unfortunately!
