Careful; according to the article, most of the discrepancy is due to a recent influx of 16-year-old Afghan boys.

(No idea what the laws are there, but if that's your thing, and it's legal there, go for it.)

Of the 2010 Census population, 157.0 million were female (50.8 percent) while 151.8 million were male (49.2 percent (USA)

You have never had it so good, or, we are a dying breed. (everyone loses if that's so)

It's going to be noticeable to the young men in Sweden soon, if not already, not enough women to go round. A real problem.

They should change the rules quickly to allow in a 50/50 ratio.

ACTUALLY, the 2010 numbers you gave are actually about average for nations. For various reasons, there are usually 1 or 2 percent more females. THAT isn't that odd at all! MORE males die before they are 5, more males die as teenagers. More males are in wars or dangerous professions. And females tend to live longer. Given all that, 1-2 percent is NOTHING!

Gotta say, now I have done more research, Sweden sounds kinda lousy.

Well, I don't think ANY western nations do anything against females, such as to cause a disparity. Though a lot of people, at least in the US, have made it sound like the girls in the scandinavian countries, and especially sweden, are among the prettiest. But if I were a refugee looking for goodies, up to this year, I CERTAINLY would have gone to sweden. I heard, however, that 70% of "asylum seekers" are MALE!

The initial article said 92% of those seeking asylum are unaccompanied males 16-17.

If Sweden is now rejecting refugees, it's because leaders realize they can't afford to take everyone in with the 'social services' available in Sweden...

"If you're underage, first of all, you get housing, you get more financial resources. You also have a lot of staff around you helping you with different issues," ,,,"If you need food, clothing, everything, you can go to the municipality and demand this money."

But there is another even bigger benefit, which Bali believes is significant. "You have the right to family reunification. So you can bring all of your family to Sweden, if you are underage."

So there are huge incentives for getting to Sweden before you turn 18. This might explain why many young people make the journey at this point in their lives.

What is concerning is the unrest and disconnect of citizens of the countries taking in large numbers of refugees...Sweden is not immune.

That's because these "refugees" don't assimilate into their adoptive countries culture and heritage, instead they strictly stick to their own culture in the process creating pockets of "independence" where their culture rules...

IMAGINE if their SUPPORTERS were forced to succumb to the outcome of their desires! NO MORE PORK! NO MORE CHRISTMAS! FORGET CHURCH! FORGET women having so much freedom, and going to school! FORGET the idea of swedish culture or people. LEARN ARABIC! GO TO THE MOSQUE! "PRAY" what is it? 5 times a day? And that is JUST for starters! I think the swedish justice system is too lenient, but they WOULD agree with me that sharia is FAR too harsh!

It is also a kick in the head to everyone that was denied their career or whatever for nt learning swedish and failing to blend in well, though they TRIED.
