Google (Alphabet) passes Apple as most valuable company

Google parent Alphabet was set to pass Apple as the most valuable company in the world on Tuesday. At Monday's after-hours levels (which technically reflect an indication, but not the real-world value), Alphabet's market cap would roughly be $570 billion, eclipsing Apple's current market cap of about $535 billion.

The last time Google was more valuable than Apple was in February 2010, when both companies were worth less than $200 billion.

    Define valuable.

    My local grocery store is more valuable to me than Google.

    If we're strictly talking stocks I'd say companies like AWK & AWR are more valuable than Google.

      But, Social Media?

      They're still more valuable then the most overvalued company to ever exist... Facebook. So it's a website/app that wastes your life in the same way a video game does, but it's not a video game. Got it. Thanks for the traffic Mark!

        It is no where near being the most valuable company. Saudi Aramco is valued in the $trillions

        It does $1 billion a day in revenues.
