Dredged this one up, funny and boring sums it up! But worth a look.

No, wonder drug dealers are rampant!

Apparently some groups in AU, want to legialise Ice! I know that we can't discuss politics here, which is good, since two words pretty much sums it up!

No they don't. That is another lie published by the Murdoch empire of fish wrappers. If you don't believe me, go and have a look at "that group's" website.

Ok, went to their site, but no updates since 2013 for public health, but l did find out that the leader said, "decriminalisation" instead of legialize, whatever that means?

But you are right, they didn't say legalize!

Darnit, can't be right all of the time!

Decriminalised means that if you're caught with a small amount (of any substance) that is obviously just for your own personal use, you are not charged with it. If you have enough of the stuff to sell it on, you can, and will be charged. Manufacturers, growers, traffickers, etc. are still arrested and charged.

Legalised means that anyone can have any amount of any substance.

Decriminalisation is the preferred option for everyone except police and the prison industrial complex.

In Australia most states have decriminalised marijuana possession up to a certain amount. In NSW it's 15 grams, but each state has its own limits. Anything over that and you're deemed to have an amount that can be on-sold and will get charged.

Decriminalisation also stops the police from harassing kids at music festivals who are only carrying enough for themselves and forces them to go after the traffickers and drug barons instead.

Ok, but marijuana, is derived from a plant, and ice is derived from a mixture of chemicals, laundry detergent and lighter fluid being some.

Probably explains why ice can kill, and marijuana is less likely to do so!

Drugs - crystal methamphetamine, tina, crystal meths, krank, tweak, ice

Considering this stuff is a lot stronger than Marijuana, and has horrible long term side affects, including much higher chance of addiction, l personally think that Decrim, is a bad idea!

If they are stupid enough to take this s***, then they should just stay with decrim, marijuana!

Not really. In the case of dangerous drugs like meth it could be looked at as a health and addiction problem and lead to treatment instead of a criminal problem which leads to jail.
Decriminalizing a substance doesn't make it legal. For example New York state decriminalized 7/8 of an oz. or less of cannabis years ago. If you have that amount in your possession you get a ticket that carries a $100 fine and a $65 court cost (at least it did the last time I got one). Also there are no marks on your record.
Same could be done with other drugs with a few changes. Like make rehab an option instead of a fine and for a third offense mandatory.
