SOMEONE is using my name and I don't know what's going on

Seems like someone's using my name and a couple of very weird threads are in the forum. I just had a post deleted, asking the same question from a different angle.

It would appear that some people understand what's happening, as their replies end in "LOL" "LMAO" but I neither understand it, nor know what to do about it...

    Me too man. I was so shocked to see my name appeared in so many threads today! =/ I reckon it's a codec thingy that makes it recognizing everyone's name to catch better attention.

    It's just a vBulletin plugin which changes [ YOU ] (without spaces) to the username of whoever is viewing the thread. So, when you view the post/thread, you see your name. When someone else does, he sees his/her name.
