In Marvel's new "Wonder Woman" some fans are questioning why the Amazons, who raised Wonder Woman, are all white.

The Newly Revealed Amazon Women From DC's 'Wonder Woman' Movie Are All White - Mic

Perhaps more characters will be revealed soon with a more diverse background.

They are all from the same tribe. If you are making a movie about African tribesmen, why can't you have Irish people playing them?

    It's all so unfair.

I want to know why Wonder Woman always has to be played by a woman. Diversity, people...diversity.....the key to success in movie making.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

Of course Wonder Woman was created quite a while back before the more enlightened times of ethnic equality and representation in the media. That goes for most of the superheroes.

It will upset me a lot if all the Amazons are white.
This poor bastage will be up all night contemplating his next move.

Odds are he'll decide to still buy the Wonder Woman underwear at Sears.

What I have heard about the supposed REAL amazons is stuff that many probably would NOT want to be associated with. But they did NOT have fancy crowns, gold lassos, or bullet repelling bracelets!

Frankly, the amazons in a DC comic rendition probably SHOULD be white. You know why? Because the comic showed them that way. YEAH, it might not be real, but none of the other stuff was EITHER!
I think they even had some blond amazons in the TV version. YIKES!

MY GOD, I expressed shock once that tuvok was black, and someone called me a racist. ALL the vulcans I had seen up to that time were effectively white. HEY, if it helps, they really should have been more GREEN, because at one point it was revealed that spocks blood was COPPER based! IRON, when it oxidizes, becomes REDISH, which is why human blood is red. It is based on IRON. COPPER, when it oxidizes, becomes GREENISH.

And YEAH, captain america is white! WHY? Because the comics depict him that way. His father was also depicted as white. And the redskull is red. GO FIGURE! The black falcon is black. With the HULK character, the main protagonist has been white. In the TV series, they had at least one black that was also A hulk type character.

And people speak of "reboots". I HATE reboots just to get another demographic, or use a name. It doesn't matter which way things go. ESPECIALLY if the story is the same. With the parent trap, they at least tweaked the story a LITTLE, but it was still all too close. I LOVED Haley Mills. GEE, what was wrong with HER rendition? And we all know how Lindsay Lohan ended up.

With the NEXT Karate Kid, it was a NICE "reboot", it was a totally different story. AND, being totally new to everything, the GIRL was able to show the whole range of experience, etc... that happened in the first one.

BTW the trailer does NOT do it justice! Miagi almost lets her do everything herself, kind of prodding her in the right direction, she has to experience a new culture, belief system, etc... and it has a kind of love story in there too as I recall. It's almost like 1-3 rolled into one. But, YOU KNOW, they speak of KARATE, and have to live up to the others, so they show some action.

BTW regarding the amazons, here is some interesting info:

    The Amazons, the One-Breasted Women - Greeka.com

And HOW would telling "oppressed girls" about Amazons COMFORT them? Am I supposed to be comforted by the idea of superman? At least the idea of some day possibly becoming royalty could be comforting, and there are MANY stories about THAT.

At least they used the same set from the end of the latest Star Wars movie, might see Luke around the corner?
