It looks like my cat, laying on its back.

But of course, that's wrong. It is the devil.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

If your cat had been female, would you have called it Lucyfur.?

Thing is, if I had not been told this steak looked like Satan, or if I had jus' slapped the raw meat onto a heated griddle, would I have seen Ol' Blue Eyes?

(My bestie has jus' questioned what is in the two sacks Satan is holdin' up, an' I guess if you were cookin' this meat you might be tempted to flip it over an' see -- but that would be stoopid cos all you gonna uncover is the two burned undersides of the sacks, assoomin' that is what they are, unless Satan has jus' castrated himself an' held his balls out in fronta him cos he is pissed he got a dick like a carrot.)
I watched an experiment at a seminar. A record was placed backwards, and was just gibberish. Then it was played again, with satanic lyrics shown on the screen. And now, it sounded like a demonic chant. Weird. It's amazing how our brains want to see patterns.

And this photo of a steak really did look like my cat laying on its back to me.

Have you ever sat looking at carpet and you start seeing faces? Or look at trees and start seeing features in the bark? It's just our brains trying to establish recognized patterns. And a whole lot of our brain is dedicated to recognizing faces.

Yeah, if someone was shown this photo, without being told what to look for, I wonder how many would see a devil? Although this is easier to see than some "religious icon in toast/a potato/grilled cheese" that I've seen online.

After a second, closer look at it, it looks like whatever the silly little thing is, it's caught in a spiders web....

that looks completely different than the rest of the fat in the meat. So I'm thinking Kay was right. It's been messed with, cooked as in cook the books. Not cook the meat.

Unless of course a real spider came and spun a web over it which is highly unlikely.

I'm not one for motivational sayings, etc, but I heard a comment on TV tonight that made me go 'hmmm'.

The man was responding to a report about college students demanding "safe zones" and "safe spaces" where nothing is said or done that could be offensive in some way to any person.

He said "safe zones are where cultures go to die".

The thing is no-one can say for certain what Satan, or even any messianic figure looks like. The commonly held mental pictures people have of them are based purely on medieval artists impressions. They're probably as close to reality as Mickey Mouse is to an an actual small furry rodent.

Remember that episode of South Park when G*d visits the town and everyone is confused by his appearance. He asks them the obvious question, "What did you expect me to look like?"

Medieval artists ascribed anthropomorphic attributes onto both Satan and his counterpart, and so, centuries afterwards, some people still believe these images bear a resemblance to reality.

ROFL....at this thread.. This goes down as one of my exhibits

During Christmas if someone barely mentioned the person the Holiday was based on the post was reported and deleted as religious but now the usuals are fine bantying about a religious character as the theme of a thread.

    Gotta love the duplicity

It looks like a steak to me. With what people imagine satan to look like if satan existed. It does show how religious art and depictions in religious art have influenced peoples psyche and how religion is viral marketing.

Has there ever been a more perfect username for the OT Forum than Ploppi? I think not.

I'm jealous I didn't think of it first.

BTW Ploppi, I'm not making fun of you, just the general level of discourse that takes place down here.

lol, I don't get offended and Ploppi is my pseodonym for my art. I chose it as it's an easy name to remember.

I guess if Satan ate steak he would want it very well done.

I'll compromise with a black and blue steak, served with toasted garlic bread dripping in blue cheese sauce, some creamed spinach, and a nice glass of red wine...

As long as they were rotten so they smelled like sulfur, then there would be licking of lips and gnashing of teeth.
