Anyone please clear me that an employee of freelancer site can hire more than one freelancer?

I am a freelancer in freelance.in and bid for projects. I got message and working for a project. But not yet awarded. I asked why dont you award. He said that he need to get 2-3 more peolple to work out of the site.

How do I trust the person? Or is there any procedure for more than one awards in the site?

Isn't there somewhere on Freelancer to ask a Freelancer question. Freelancer bought the Warrior Forum, but it's still essentially the Warrior Forum.

I well agree with Suzanne that you should ask for support at the site in question.

But since I see that you might have started working for someone who has not formalized the relationship, I might as well strongly recommend that you stop doing so. If you are not assigned to a specific job, you are just asking to be cheated.

I don't know about freelance.in, but on another marketplace, I have both hired multiple workers for a single project, and worked for clients on projects where there are other workers. At that website, it's very clear when the client has hired multiple workers, and everyone's role is protected by the marketplace, as long as work is performed within the marketplace rules. Work outside, and all bets are off.
