how many of you work from home with no office.

Working at home has its pros and cons.

Pros is you're comfortable doing your work at home. You don't need to experience the hassle outside your home.

Cons is you won't be able to meet new people whom you can learn something.

If you earn some money each month I would advice everyone to get some kind of an office. For the first 3 years 2007-2010 I worked from home but I realized that I complete much more work when I'm in the office..my office of course. In my opinion you will behave much more professional and you'll get more things done if you have an office. Of course if you're justv starting or you still don't earn any money working from home is the only option but as soon as you can get some working space not close to your home!

I've been doing it for a few years now. The problem that I sometimes find is that it is harder to have a schedule, it is easier to become addicted to your work, and you have more risk of burnout. I avoid these by keeping active (martial arts and gym - to make sure I get away from the computer!) and by frequent holidays with my family, during which time I'd only work the bare minimum (say 30-45 mins) to keep the business running.

Yep from home and no office. I have strategic areas in my house that I rotate around a couple times a week.
A recliner in family room, Bean bag in my girls room, Cabana out in the backyard, couch in the front in Rec room.

I believe in being comfortable and this is exactly the way I did it through HS and College.

I NEVER sat at a desk at home to do homework, Never. People complained and said I needed to conform and sit upright at a desk or table.

I said f@ck it I do it my way until the day die
Always had books spread out all over the couch and bed studying for exams and writing term papers
( of course there were years when I worked for a company.I had no choice, which is another reason why I went out on my own lol)

Btw,the first hour or two in morning I work at a Mickey D's right down from my home and get my unlimited Tea. And I do sit in a chair lol

I am finding working from home very challenging because i have 3 young children which makes working on a schedule very difficult as i also want to attend to them when they have a need and my home office is the living room table which is just an open space close to the kitchen were anyone can just come and disturb, even the kids. Worse when they are on vacation, i get less and less work done each day.

I think having a proper office is the way to go with scheduled working hours i do agree that you do get more done or maybe create a home office were people know you cannot be disturbed for a certain number of hours. As a mother of young children i also think its also not psychologically good for the children as sometimes they need your attention but are are unable to attend to them because you have to finish something so some times they can take it as rejection or neglect because they do not understand why you seem to be ignoring them. thanks for sharing friend, i am now thinking of making some serious changes.

I am lucky enough to actually live in the same building as where my boss has the office. Most of the time this is great, but occasionally I feel a bit isolated... There is not much reason to leave the building other than for errands and such, so it's just work, sleep, eat on many days.

Last year our entire company spent an entire month in Thailand and worked from a luxury villa that we rented there. It was awesome and I so long to go back!

I work from home, no office.

But I am looking into getting coworking office space. It looks like a good alternative.

Been doing so now since 1997. Works grand for me. Plenty of time for the gym.

Working from office and the pros are punctuate, crazy about my work, meet new clients daily. Have lot of work load which keep me active for my work.

I've worked from home for 25+ years combining both my accounting and writing skills. Since 2005 (when I first discovered and learned WordPress) I've also incorporated IM into the mix.

For the past several years I've become increasingly involved writing for Amazon Kindle.

Our fourth bedroom is set up as an office for myself and my husband, with desktop computers etc., but I also do a lot of work (especially writing, editing, etc.) on my laptop all around the house and outside on the patio.

I've never found my lifestyle isolating or lonely. I have my family and husband plus various rescued pets and a few close friends (I've never been madly social outside my immediate circle) and these circumstances suit me to perfection. It allows me to what I want, when I want.

so why is it usually filled with other people while im outside working?

Actually l could do that, or something similar.


I have found an organization that allows a workspace for $250 a year, (pretty sure it was that, or $20 a visit). The area is on the third floor and also has conferencing areas for hire. And needs a code key to enter.


I will stay with working from home, but still an option.


Yep, l do pilates trice a week, and have to take time off now, so no bornout, but l do get close occasionally.


True, l tend to go down to the local library this time of year to get out of the heat. That or the local coffee shop.

I will never get an office outside my home. Right now I live in a studio appt but I have to move so I will ensure I have enough room for my desk and PC, as well as my recliner and laptop. I live alone so I have no distractions and I work when I want.
