Trying to save some electricity.

Now I never turn off my i mac which i used to turn off whenever I going to bed at night , next morning turn on and begin my work till night than turn off.

due to my power button a bit intermittence ...every time have to press a lot of time to start our my i mac..., I let it go " sleep mode "

According to some user " Sleep mode " does consume a bit of electricity ..

but I not sure how about for long term ...usage?

Buy a cheap wattmeter. It will help you find all sorts of wastage.

If you turn it off permanently,
it will save us all a bit of electricity.

Mine turns off automatically after 1/2 hour of not being used. I thought that was just standard in computers,

I don't ever turn my work station off, it doesn't sleep or anything. I just turn my monitors off. I don't leave my laptops on obviously.
