I hate this movie.

Just ask yourself this just one time during any one of the annoying phone conversations "would people really react this way to a person struggling to survive?"

This movie is just so dumb.

"It's an absolute emergency" Yet they are ultra sensitive and hang up for basically no reason.

It's cliche after cliche...

It's so bad...

If you know anything about cell phones, you know he should have just pushed his way out of the box immediately after the phone rang. Edit: incorrect, after he successfully answered the phone.

Throughout the entire movie I just thought: "It can't be more then a few inches of sand if you can have a conversation on your cellphone, just use all of your strength to push the one end of the box your head is at upwards, then climb out."

I realize some people will disagree because "their cellphone works in their basement." Right well the signal has things to bounce off of. If you're completely buried underground, unless the tower is basically right next to you, it doesn't have anything to bounce off of and it's not going to penetrate a foot or more of sand.

Seriously, go to the beach, bury your phone under a few feet of sand, then call it. It's not going to work.

I suggest you put it into a ziplock bag first.

If I think a movie is "dumb" - I turn it off and don't watch any more of it.

    Problem solved.

Honestly, I've watched Science fiction and horror movies that were so bad, I couldn't stop watching them.

I watched a movie about space invaders, that had no sound for the second half of the movie. Meaning, the camera guy didn't record the sound. Instead of reshooting, a guy just narrated the entire half of the movie...dialog and all.

Movies like Plan 9 From Outer Space are just amazing to watch. And I love Mystery Science Theater, where they would take terrible science fiction movies, and comment as the movie played.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

Had to see how it ended just so I knew.

I'll use Kurt's quote that wasn't directed to me:

I really thought the ending would make the movie better. NOPE.

I think you've got that wrong then Kay.
You're supposed to start a thread about it.

"The Wit and Wisdom of Claude Whitacre" is so bad that it's unintentionally funny. It's also like a car wreck, in that you don't want to look but you can't just look away, and when you do see something you really wish you hadn't.

I saw that. It was written, directed, and stars Kurt. With Kurt playing the lead.

You're right, it was so bad it was unintentionally funny.

      I'm suing you.

I was also the editor, and since it was your entire collection of wit and wisdom, it was only one frame long. And the one frame was to list me on the credits.

The whole thing is a frame.

My wisdom transcends language. I'm glad you finally acknowledge that.

And you finally got your name listed in a movie or book with "Wit And Wisdom" in the title. Of course, you needed my help..........and my Name, to lend credibility.

Actually, Claude named his two cats "Wit" and "Wisdom" just to avoid any legal comeback over the movie title.
