Hope folks in that part of the world get through it
Ok and do not suffer too much property damage.

Sounds grim though from early news reports

    You got that right Mike.
This one looks like the worse so far.
Yesterday morning the National Weather Service issued this warning for Galveston Island.
    "Evacuate or Die"
    Now that's heavy.

Be safe everyone. Get out of the way - Ike has an attitude so bad it's going to even affect the Ohio Valley.

I left Houston just ahead of that bad boy...

Made a stop in LaPlace, LA and when I headed out at a little after 10pm last night my route back to I-55 was under a couple to 3 feet of water...

The deputy who was turning people back decided I WAS leaving so he just said "Go damn slow and make sure that grass you see there stays on your left side...I think thats the high part of the median..."

        Needless to say...I'm home!

Glad to here you made it Dave.
Now do you want to explain how you became governor of New York?\, and how you drive a truck blind?

Never min the truck part. After riding my bike down to Fl. and back I don't think you're alone there.
But could you explain why semi's try to pass each other going up hill and why the hell do they feel the need to pull out in back of a motorcycle when it's only a foot in front of them
