Using ChromCaster on old TV: HDMI Converter or What?!

Hi!

I'm totally non-technical and totally lost.

I recently got a Google ChromeCaster. My brother lent me a new-ish (2- or 3-year old) flat-screen TV which had a place where I could plug the Chroimecaster right into the back. Worked nicely.

That was nice while it lasted, but he just asked for it back. Now I'm back to my 20-yer old Panasonic color TV and I can't figure out how to use it.

Someone suggested using an HDMI Converter, like this one from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Semlos-Composite-Converter-S...http://www.amazon.com/Semlos-Composite-Converter-S...
Unfortunately, there's no mention of whether it would work for Chromecast & old TVs, and besides, there are a lot of negative reviews.

Like I said, I'm not technical so I can't figure it out.

A) Can anyone tell me if this approach would work for me?

and/or

B) Anyone have a better solution or suggestion that you know would work for me?

Thanks,
Richard

If you can just get yourself a new TV. Their prices have dropped to the point where you can pickup a 42" for under $300 if you look around.
Also look at Best Buy open box deals....
