What is the utter worst movie you've ever seen?

I was warned about the Angry Birds movie....

... and while the subniche can be hugely profitable....

... the movie itself made rancid shower mold look appealing.

How 'bout you?

There have been very few movies I've ever walked out on Dumb And Dumber was the most memorable by far.

That was so bad I couldn't even go 15 minutes.

But, then again my humor is more along the lines of the sitcom Frasier.

    Battlefield Earth (2000)

Funded by and starring John Travolta, this movie he made because he was a fan of L.Ron Hubbard, a science fiction writer who also wrote the book "Dienetics" which sparked the Scientology religion. Something Travolta subscribes too.

A work of fiction in itself.

Hubbard was a good science fiction writer though and I read the 1000 page Battlefield Earth book and really enjoyed it.

The film version was simply awful though.

"The Wit and Wisdom of Claude Whitacre". Luckily, it was so short it was over before I had time to walk out.

The Hunger Games, was the last movie l walked out on, a bit like 1984, on a shoestring budget.

The second last one was the Star Wars remake, l wanted to walk out during the crappy asteroid shower, after the Millimium Falcon dropped out of Light Speed.

But l stayed hoping that it would get better, it almost did.

Although fantasying about Ja Ja being strung up by his tongue til dead, during the prequel, sequel, religious based romp, garbage series, almost made me walk out of the theater!

No, wait that Speilberg, AI one, that dragged on forever,.....l got close.

The end woke me up just enough to get to the credits.

Yes, groan, the first is a classic, eventhough the IBM, mainframe developers, got overexited and well the story did suffer a tad.

Still to this day don't know what the spider, lattice things where supposed to do?

Second l tied myself to my chair, and kept telling myself "it is good".

But l really wanted to go cry in the corner of the cinema or go screaming into the night.

I mean hybrid humanoids coming onto our world, from the digital, groan, they need to put torchlight's into razer blades...

Even that JI Joe slop, has a better story.

What Dreams May Come with Robin Williams.

What's scary is to go on IMBD and see Reviewers saying "Stunning, Awesome, Best Film of 1998 " etc..etc.

Visually stunning and worth watching with the sound off. Turn it up and your listening to pure schmaltz. Pity. The premise of the story was interesting.

It was almost unwatchable. It was like everyone in the movie was 5 minutes away from being committed for clinical depression.

The Fountain, with Hugh Jackman was like that. I forced myself to watch the whole thing, but it was very difficult to understand.

The Ayn Rand movies of Atlas Shrugged, parts 1-3 were painful to watch. The only people that enjoyed them were her "disciples".

Of course, yours truly forced himself to watch the first two in theaters. the third, I think I saw on a DVD. I'm a fan of her philosophy, but these movies were soul sucking disasters.

Melancholia, a "science fiction" movie about a planet colliding with our own, was so painfully boring, I had to watch it in two parts.

These are really boring movies. My bar is set pretty low. I regularly watch a 30 minute video of Dan Riffle chewing on beef jerky....I hope.

The movie Frozen. Not the Disney movie, the one about the 4 teens stuck on a ski lift over nite. It is an indie movie that came out in 2010. I can usually get through most movies no matter how bad, but this one I only lasted about 1/2 hour

I can't say it's the worst movie of all time, but after seeing it listed as the "best movie of all time" so many times, I've tried watching Citizen Kane 4 or 5 times. I could never get past the first 20 minutes before I'm so bored I've had to change the channel.

Citizen Kane was years ahead of its time and thoroughly deserves the accolades it's received.

      The worst recent movie.

The Interview - the most infantile rubbish ever committed to film. I didn't make it to the 15 minute mark.

I remember seeing Lawrence Of Arabia as a small child, in a theater. I tried to watch it on cable, and couldn't.

And Citizen Kane? Just about the same. It may be a great movie, but it was terribly boring to me. Same with Doctor Zhivago.

I remember that Melancholia got all kinds of awards as well. But it was hard to watch.

I will take your minuscule intellect into account and simply overlook that statement.

That said, you are 100% spot-on about Dr. Zhivago.

I believe that this supports the premise that many of your posts are half-assed.
