Hey!

You can see in my picture I wear glasses. ( I wear them well too!)

However, since I go to beauty school they have begun to be very annoying. From them falling down my noise as I bend and work . They also fog up like crazy. They get in the way when I am doing fine detail work.

Been wearing glasses for 20 years! It might be time for a change.

Contact wearers what advice do you have about this change?

Going to make an eye doc appointment tomorrow ; but darnit I'm not sure if this is good or bad for me.

You'll love contacts - they are so advanced now they're extremely easy to adapt to and use. You don't even know they're there.

The freedom of NOT having "frames" around your field of visions is something you'll adapt to (and enjoy) quickly.

The only thing you might mention to the eye doctor is IF you are around 'fumes' often (dyes/permanents/straighteners, etc)...I don't think it would be enough to bother you but might be wise to ask about it.

You don't have to wear the contacts all the time - if you prefer just wear them when you work. They won't fog up and if they slip down your nose...you gotta problem!

I wore them for many years, and loved how they improved my vision, (especially peripheral vision). I personally preferred rigid gas permeables (RGP's), but many people can't get used to that type.

Make sure you tell your doctor the various ways that you spend much of your time, e.g., "fine detail work", especially in terms of distance from your eyes to the subject. You appear to be young enough that your eyes are likely still flexible enough to manage multiple focal lengths. (I'm not.)

I appreciate these opinions. I do agree... I have to tell the doctor about my field and make sure it won't react with the contacts.

It would be amazing to not have to worry about my glasses slipping down my nose while working. It is so annoying.

    I'm excited now.

    Thanks again.
