Are you sure want to leave this page? (on Gmail???)

Hey All,

Just got a 'Are you sure you want to leave this page?' request while closing my Gmail inbox.

I closed it quickly out of habit, so I didn't read if there was any other text on there.

Anyone else ever experienced this when closing Gmail?

I'm using the most recent version of Chrome.

Thanks.

It happens occasionally if it's still processing some task, like a delete.

Yea this has happened to me before. You might have been in the process of sending an email or forgot to send one that you started typing.

It is just letting you know if you close your browser you will lose anything you have typed out.

    Thanks, everyone.

Embarrassed that that didn't immediately occur to me.

    Thanks again.

    Cheers.

I've also seen it before and as others have indicated, there still may be a task in the works. As long as you didn't lose any work (such as a message/reply/draft you were working on), it shouldn't be anything to worry about.

I know how u felt. It gives a heart attack when you leave without reading the content out of habit.
