Hey Warriors.

Today I was just browsing the threads on warrior and this just struck me so I thought of posting a thread about it.

In about 30-50 of my posts I have (three smiles) at the end of that post and now I stopped using them because I think that they are not appropriate and they make no sense and I shouldn't have them.

What do you people think.

Well was it in your signature or at the end of your post ?

if in your signature : I think it's fine, on some level it says to others that you a welcoming, relaxed, fun loving guy/girl. And if that's what you want to tell people about yourself then by all means

putting it at the end of posts(before signature): This (depending on the post) can be inappropriate, and isn't really needed IMO

        Hello, Mohammad:

I don't see any problem with it - it is a reflection of your personality.

By now, everybody knows that a Smilie represents friendship.

If you were to use a different Smilie, it might send a wrong message
or a misunderstood message. But a Smilie is universally friendly in
        my opinion.

I have used a single in all of my forum signatures across the Internet
for a couple of years now. I feel it is as much a part of my signature
        now as my name!

I say, if YOU like posting three Smilies, go for it!

has been used for a very long time universally and will continue to be done so. It certainly projects friendliness and lightens up the message, and most well understood by all.

I remember many a times reading posts, articles etc the message of which was lighten up by using at the end.

I believe this pleasant expression is still going to be used for a long long time to come.

I think you might want to leave them at the end of posts. I haven't read the rules in awhile but I don't think they are allowed in signatures - if you read the rules and it's allowed to put them in there, then it's your sig and if that's your style, do it.
