Ferraris are red .... people expect them to be red.
Alternative colours just do not work very well normally
    across most models.

BUT, that body shape looks very sharp in black, and
shows off the wheels and logos etc much better imho.
Plus there are not many black ones around.

    Black! - understated - sophisticated -

Red is loud and says the opposite - flashy - a juvenile or mid-life crisis -

I don't know if it is an urban myth or not but 'they' say that red cars are targeted by the police and get more speeding tickets -

I don't know if that is because part of their crisis involves speeding more so than others, or because it just stands out or draws attention to itself.

I love red too and it is also a healthy, vibrant and exciting color - I still would prefer a black car.

Ferrari's should be red - classic cars...classic colours! My dad had a red 348gtb many years ago. It was a head turner but not very practical. They're very wide cars and you couldn't leave it many places as people liked to key it! My dad sold it after about 6 months due to the insurance company wanting £15K of upgrades to the garage it was housed!

I suspect either is going to get the ladies attention. Although you may not attract many "ladies". But as long as you know that up front.

It also depends on how you are trying to compensate for your lack of girth, length, or whatever is making you feel inferior about your prowess.

You know what they say...Big hands, big feet...big gloves, big socks.

I say keep the money in your bank account and let others invest in depreciating assets.

You have to keep the black clean every day, but you can get away with it on the red. Trust me I know I wouldn't lie to you I'm an internet marketer. lol

Ferrari = Red, thats just how it is, it's ment to attract attention, and we all know the colour red does just that.

    Neither.

Anyone who has ever owned a Ferarri knows the real story.

Owning a Ferarri is for cocktail party conversations and car shows.

They aren't out of the shop often enough to actually drive.

I would go to La Scuderia factory in Maranello. First I would pick the car I like best after some test driving, possibly a Ferrari Formula 1. Then I would have them make me my own colour depending on what results they can get.

I would talk it over with them, I would have them make my own colour and I would make another trip to pick it up.

Agree. From a mechanical perspective they are actually crappy cars.

The best you'll probably get out of it is to drive around the block to let your neighbours know you've got one. You'll need a second car to get from "A to B" though.

(Not that driving around the block to show off to your neighbours is necessarily a bad thing of course.:rolleyes

I have a 430 Spider and a Twin Turboed Gallardo Superleggera. If you are looking to pick up a Ferrari I would strongly advice you to go drive a Lamborghini Gallardo first. 04's can be had in the low 80s. It is a much better car than the 360 all around.

Almost all the Ferraris and Lamboghinis seen on Hong Kong streets are taxi yellow at the moment like this one here driven by an English teacher.

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...MRmx614NfelzTJ

Maseratis are invariably silver, and Porsche has almost disappeared off the scene. The fact that Ferraris and Lambos are now seen on the streets all the time probably means that reliability has improved. The big problem is that these cars are sometimes driven by people in their fifties or sixties who just do not look the part.

Everybody has their own opinions half will say black and half will say red. If you really can't decide which colour to choose this is what i ALWAYS do when i can't decide on something, i flip a coin and say heads or tails for whatever it is i am deciding on for example in your case heads = red, tails = black and whichever side the coin lands on i stick to that decision - simple and easy way to decide when you can't decide =)
