How much do you travel??

How much do you travel?? I'm considering doing more of it. But I don't really have anyone to go with. I'd pretty much end up just going on my own. Which isn't too bad, but it can sometimes feel a bit boring too. Also can sort of feel a bit of social anxiety and stuff like that. But I'm sort of considering maybe traveling more. Just cuz I tend to think that lifes way too short to sit around waiting for everything to be perfect before you give yourself permission to go and do stuff, like traveling. Like we can work on the road, so what are we doing here??? Like there's endless people who'd kill to have that kind of freedom, but more often than not we tend to take it so much for granted.

What do you think??? Where would you recommend going to visit?

    for me it's Bali

    and you will come back

well there's a deal to cancun for 500 bucks all inclusive, and I haven't been anywhere in 6 yrs. I was debating just saying "screw it" and going! Like 500 bucks?? Can't go wrong. But I just went somewhere last month on a road trip. You know it's cheaper to fly to a resort than go on a road trip? That's so bizzare. I spent way more on that darn road trip. I should have slept in my car more. Ended up costing a fortune.

I think how much you travel depends, to a certain degree, on what passport you hold. Some passports, like U.S. passport, are obviously more useful than others.

I know what you mean. This spring I decided to go to the Antarctica, but because I bought an iPad for my child I ended up being just a few hundred bucks short of the $9900 needed to buy the ticket. By the time I got my monthly Adsense payment, the trip had been sold out.

So I went on a 3 week expedition to Tibet instead (Lhasa ->North Base Camp of Everest). Upon returning from Tibet I started planning new trips to India, Nepal and Bhutan. But a few weeks ago I found a nice piece of land. So I bought 51 acres of forest and farmland and there went all my money. Therefore no more traveling for me until the spring of 2017.

I'm definitely going back to Tibet next year, but this time I'll walk a kora around Mount Kailash with a few Buddhist friends and extreme sports enthusiast. It's pretty scary, since the highest pass is 500 meters higher than the Base Camp where I had to sleep entire night in the sitting position, because my body couldn't get enough oxygen while lying down even though I do not have the PND (paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea).

I like travelling. For me it's very exciting to plan a trip. When I am planning my travel I always make a budget. For instance, I have 2000$ and I want to visit 3 countries. So 1st of all I am looking for cheap airlines then I make a little research about the trip (hotels, hostels, local food etc). In such way I save money and have a wonderful vacation.

  • 100%.

Las' time I traveled anyplace less than 100% I left my ear in Starbucks.

Kinda knew sumthin' was wrong when I got to the bookstore an' bled all over Jonathan Stroud.

So I returned to Starbucks for my ear, an' there it was — hangin' offa sum old guy's beard by its ragged lobe.

No way is that ever happnin' again.

For sure, I would hate to go sumplace without my *sshole cos I figure that would not be cool for anyone to find — 'specially in a restaurant.

It is bad enough bein' shown to a seat at a table sum filthy f*cker been f*artin' all over, but findin' an *sshole would prolly putcha offa your meal an' blow any hopes you gonna be upsold onion rings.
