Help Me Choose Some Categories - Brainstorm

My interests are beginning to become more polific and I have set-up a new blog.

I'm looking into categories.

I'm thinking that if I had a blogging category, I could aslo have a wordpress category.

Do you think if I had a blogging category the wordpress category should be skipped and all wordpress related posts added to my blogging category.

God I hate organising sites lol.

      Yes, Im thinking so myself, right now I'm just having a look at other peoples blogs, spending time learning what they are doing, don't want my catgories to be all messed up :-)

    Mark, hi,

    As chance would have it I have both categories on my blog.

    I do quite a lot of posts on WordPress and I use tags to group posts on similar subjects together within the category.

    I also have a blogging category for more general blogging related stuff, again using tags to group similar articles within the category.

    Plus - you'll probably find you need to rationalise and re-structure your blog over time. I've done two big category rationalisations and 1 very major tag rationalisation over the past 3 years.

    So while it would be ideal if you got the perfect structure at the outset it's not necessarily a disaster if you don't.
