Parents Sue Walmart After Kids' Bath Photos Fiasco - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News - FOXNews.com

*high points*
Mom and dad take pictures of kids at bath-time. Just normal babies in bath stuff. They take the pics to walmart to get developed, end up losing their kids for a month and get investigated like they are child molesters

I dont know about you guys, but my mom has got stacks of photos of both me an my sister when we were probably 2-3 or so in the tub taking bubble baths with bubble hats, bubble beards, naked butts and i know many people who's parents have pics of their babies naked on bearskin rugs, though its not a regular thing to do that any more.

Since when did your own naked child suddenly become indecent? I'm pretty sure it is the right of every parent to take nekid photos of their child so that when they bring their first boyfriend/girlfriend home they can be embarrassed beyond belief.

Just the other day I went to a friend of mine's house, he has 3 kids, they are around 2-4 or so. When i got there it was bathtime and getting these kids in the tub was like putting socks on a chicken. We were outside shooting the breeze and the next thing we know we hear his wife inside the house yelling 'get back in here!!' and here comes his son trucking out the door, naked as a jaybird. I thought it was funny as hell and didnt see a problem in the world with it and his dad happened to have his camera and snapped a couple pictures of him during his great escape. We were in the country nobody around for miles, neighbors can't see us at all, who cars if he runs around bare-a$$ed or if pics are taken. I'm sure that in 10 or so years, they will be shown to a future girlfriend.

are we suddenly not supposed to see our own kids naked? isnt this going ot make the whole potty training thing a little hard?

Well at least the "authorities" weren't stupid enough to convict these people. I have a feeling the Judge will have no problem putting a hurt to the parties responsible either. IF the Judge doesn't seek some really "abusive" penalties from those responsible for what these people suffered, then s/he needs to be disbarred.

    At fault?
A lot of the stupidity going on right now is the fault of Judges who make ridiculous judgments, using corporate policy rather than constitutional law.

Social Services - they should not be on commission at all, should not have their existence judged by how many cases they do per month. This department railroads as
many people as they feel they need to in order to keep their funding and their jobs. Putting 10 innocent people in jail a month is no problem against the alternative of drawing unemployment and having to look for more work. We all know you have to have sharps to work outside of the gov.

Third - people who are more concerned about having control than having intelligence, are too nosy, and think that they should rule the world instead of understanding that other people have a right to live as they see fit.

As far as the couple - the 5 year old is getting a bit old to have cute family nudies taken. By that age a kid is in school and has, hopefully, for their own safety, developed an idea of "private parts". Not saying she was abused, just that parents have to have a few sharps of their own about what stage of intellectual development their kids are in. If mom and dad still take nudies and think it's cute, what happens when the school janitor or neighbor guy wants a few, too? Nudies should not be taken after a kid is reaches 4 years old and the kids need to understand that they are too old for that any more, too.

Well, I don't think parents should embarass their kids like you describe. I wouldn't call the cops though. ALSO, speaking of that, what gives the developers the right to look so closely, or make the pictures public? Still, this IS going too far, although they probably DID go to one of those places that is CASUAL with privacy and THAT is wrong.

This relies on a long line of stupid people.

      Walmart
      police
      child services

You can see one person taking a stupid stand and think he's nuts - but when you find an entire judicial system acting like the 3 stooges, you have to worry about what's going on here.

In all the levels of "officials" involved - did no one think "this makes no sense"? Apparently not. I hope those people the lawsuit - big time! Walmart should put those kids through college.

Please do not 'release balloons' for celebrations. The balloons and trailing ribbons entangle birds and kill wildlife and livestock that think the balloons are food.

Because the developer who saw those pictures as wrong is obviously a person with perverted tendencies. I hope they don't have - or never have - kids.

Only in this country do we look at cute baby pictures and call them child porn. What a hypocritical, twisted place we live in.

Funny thing is, those that yell the loudest are usually the ones with the most skeletons in their closets.

Some are "FREAKS", or just stupid TROUBLE MAKERS, but the majority may be simply hyper sensitive and scream KIDDY PORN, just like some scream RACIST, like the boy in the old fable that screamed WOLF!

It IS ironic! Someone sees something VERY suspicious, calls it in, and the police go to the home of a KNOWN felon KNOWN to have done such things, and they LITERALLY don't even look in his back yard, which is where the people claimed the evidence was. NOW, 3 YEARS later we hear about Jaycee! INCREDIBLE!

The laws seem to just be made to keep the guilty comfortable, EVEN if they are caught, they are protected, housed, given cable, a place to workout, medical care, books, food, etc.... If someone even DARES to limit their "right" to watch cable, the public SCREAMS! HEY, THAT is a way to pay for general healthcare! Get RID of the books, cable, workout room, conjugle visits, limit other visits, turn down the A/C, limit food, give them BASIC healthcare, and used the saved space to house more criminals. There will be less crime, less need for guards, less incentive for crime, more space in case, and lots of costs will be LOWER.

Did you hear about the guy recently that they took to the COUNTY FAIR on a trip!!!!! This is the SECOND time he escaped. They ORIGINALLY said that he would go more and more crazy until a peak at 48 hours(he was on medication). He has been out for about that long. NOW, they are saying it is 14 days. In 12 days, he could just start killing people if he hasn't already. He was jailed for killing his wife, and given lower security and a more favorable, to HIM, sentence because he was judged to be criminally insane! Again, that is not something in the past, or that MIGHT happen. It already HAS happened, and he is still out!

I fully agree, Mike. I think the guy reporting it was either a pervert or a religious zealot. That is the real distrubing part of this post though. It's the fact that the "authorities" actually took the kids out of the home over it.

That's why I labeled it fascism. People's lives were wracked all because our jail systems are corporations and social services are funded via quotas and commissions. When the bottom line is feeding the machine - humanity goes out the window. Ask any really old German or Jew how that plays out in the long run when people don't put a stop to it.

Actually it's time for people to start hammering counter-suits to any frivolous lawsuit --go back at them for malicious prosecution. They want to play ball, you better have a bat and glove.

You just knew there'd be a Walmart involved.

When I go to visit my parents (100 mi drive) and it's been a REALLY crazy day, with drivers doing every stupid thing you can think of, I answer the usual "How was your drive?" with: I feel like I just drove 100 miles in a Walmart parking lot.

I've never had to explain that comment.

I agree here, things are definitely different than the used to be. Seems like this nation is overly worried about things of this nature, BUT for good reason. The sicko's that cross the line ruin the innocence of this for the rest of us.
