Targeting non-profit organizations?

Not sure where to post this so I'm putting it here.

I was just now studying some financial material and I read something that gave me some unfinished ideas that hopefully some of you can elaborate on here.

In making an Ideal Client Profile this particular text suggests you can target non-profit organizations for payment. How can these non-profits pay you? How much do you think they can afford? More, equal, less than other organizations? Who do you contact in a non-profit organization? Do they have an accounts payable department?

As you can see I'm going crazy over this idea. If you can answer one or more of these questions post it here. Also if you have some previous knowledge of this or personal insights please post them here.

As a "mission" you may want to target non-profits after you've made millions... Non-profits are notorious for not having "available" money.

In general, you want to target decision makers who have the money to pay you....

If they don't have both the authority to make a decision and the money, you're targeting the wrong group.
