Saturday the local Harley Dealer had their 2009 Fall Open House and Bike Show.

Just for grins and giggles I put my bike in the show and WON FIRST PLACE in the Big Twin and People's Choice Categories!!!!

This was my second time putting it in a show and the last one was a benefit that didn't allow spectator voting.

Thanks Kim ... it has been a long time, huh?

I got a little disheartened with how things were going in WF so haven't been around much. I see Allan has been making great strides in cleaning things up so I'm back!!!!

Not sure many will feel that's a good thing considering how I can be so cantankerous sometimes. LOL (did I spell that right :-})

Have a great day my friend!

About time you poked your head up again, Allton. We could use some more cantankerous (yes, you spelled it right) old coots around here. The cantankerous women have got us outnumbered.

Not naming any names, mind you.

LOL ... Got yer back Paul!!!! Don't hesitate to PM me if they overwhelm you!!!!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It's been a nice testament to all the work that's gone into her. About a year ago a drunk knock me off her shattering my right leg in the process so we were both a little rough for many months. Saddest part is the S.O.B got away and the cops really didn't try to find him. Thankfully I know Karma will get 'em!

Pat ... I do have a windshield but only use it for the long distance trips anything 300 miles or less is just an afternoon ride!

Thom ... I try not to take it for granted but I think it is and it was nice to get a bit of confirmation.

Hey Mike ... it's been too long my friend. I have been poking my head in the last few months and responded to a few needing some help but that's about it. I appreciate the friendly welcomes. Didn't realize anyone noticed!

    Thanks David, jg & Sal!

The pic doesn't show the base color very well ... it's actually a really dark blue with a really lite metal flake. Here's a better shot ...

At night it does look black

Well it's a great advertisement for his work.
Which brings me to my next 2 questions.
Who did the paint and where are they located?

          Thanks Mike.
I bookmarked his site in my motorcycle stuff folder.
I'm hoping I'm only a year away from getting the Star repainted and from what I saw on his site and from your bike he may be the man to do it.
I'm looking at a bit of airbrush work and his examples are awesome.

Your Welcome Thom ... glad to help. I have never liked traditional flames but absolutely love the true flame concept. Rumor is he was one of the trailblazers with them and I can say I haven't seen anyone elses I like better.

Yeah ... those samples are great, huh? You should see the photo album at his shop.

He has one that blew me away, well most of them do BUT, this was a gals head and shoulders with flowing auburn hair that went all over the tank then branched out onto the frame and side covers. It was amazing.

One heads up ... hit them right after christmas and you can get a hell of a deal. My entire paint job (including the repair from the accident) would have been around $4000 (I had two helmats done too) and though I don't want to say exactly what I paid it was a LOT less.

      I was thinking that also.
Flames are way over done and not that impressive IMHO.
His true flame paint job made my jaw drop.
If you paid less then 4 grand for repairs, paint, and two helmets painted you got a hell of a deal.
I'm thinking something based around my Potty Parrot tat.
