Grand Super Cycle "VS" The Singularity
Basically Elliot waves are a cyclical, theory of socio-economics. Elliot wave theory predicts a "grand super cycle" wave at the begining of this century that will paralyze economic growth and collapse our modern civilization. Clearly such an event would require a limited nuclear conflict or a major act of international terrorism or some similar cataclism.
The singularity theory predicts exponential growth of technology that far exceeds human capabilities also in the first half of this century. Along with this is unparralled development.
Both of these theories are sound and based upon solid fact with much supporting evidence.
However they are clearly appear to be contradictory - we can not have both a singularity and a grand super cycle collapse. This suggests to me there will be a monumental struggle in the next 10-20 years that will decide which event becomes the ultimate reality in this century.
