Share Your Workday With Others

Maybe other members can get some inspiration from knowing what you
do during your workday. That means hours spent directly on doing work,
which doesn't include BSing on this forum UNLESS you're actually working
here like posting a WSO or networking with other marketers.

My work day used to be full. Now it's pretty much non existent, but here it
is.

Starts at 7 AM.

7 AM - Turn on PC
7:07 AM - PC finally finishes booting. I bring up my work tools.

Excel
Ultra Edit
Firefox
Word

7:10 - 7:30 - Send out my safelist and FFA ads. Yeah, they still work if
you know what they hell you're doing.

7:30 - 7:45 - Work on my membership site daily download.

7:45 - 8:05 - Write 2 articles for EZA and submit them.

8:05 - 8:10 - Update my blog and tweet about it.

Done.

That's my regular day now. I am finished work after about 1 hour. If I
get bored during the day (after writing songs and playing video games)
I may make a video or do an extra blog entry. Maybe I'll work on a
special issue email for my list. If I work 2 hours in a given day, it's a lot.

But it didn't happen overnight. It took me a long time to get to this point.

My old work day would have made most people scream for their mothers.

Anyway, that's my day.

What's yours like? Anything that might be useful to others who are maybe
doing the same things?

You don't have to divulge any trade secrets. If part of your day is working
on your PPC campaign, you don't have to share any of the actual details
of how you tweak your ads, research keywords and so on.

But you can if you like.

Yeah Kim, my PC is a hog. I have so many things going on at startup
that it's a joke, one of them being my sync program. I have mirrored hard
drives and every morning it has to copy one to the other.

At 360 gig each, that takes a LONG time.

Please, someone make this guy a new PC!!

      I tease, Steven!

Wish I has something exciting to share with you here, Steven, but I don't. I just live the life of an overworked, underpaid registered nurse now.

But tell me if you will, where does the majority of your income come from? Your list? WSOs? I know about a lot of your marketing aspects, but you're marketing funnels to where?

If you don't want to share, I understand. Just curious is all.

Chris, my income essentially comes from 3 sources.

        1. The thousands of articles I have plastered over the net.
        2. My list.
        3. WSOs

And in all honesty, a lot of my list income is BECAUSE these people signed
up through articles I've written, though not all. So to give a totally
accurate breakdown, percentage wise, would be close to impossible
since I don't have an exact figure of how many people on my list actually
got there from the article directories, my blog, a guest blog or elsewhere.

The only place people would come to my list from would be this forum
and the other forums I frequent. But I don't track that either.

I used to track this stuff but got tired of doing it. These days, the opt
ins keep coming in so honestly, I don't care where they come from since
I'm not going to do anything with my day anyway.

I do keep an eye on my article traffic and as long as that stays constant
(actually it's up 20% this month over August) then I don't worry about
        things.

Eventually, I'll have so many articles out there, even just writing 2 or 3
a day, that I'd have to fall off the planet to stop getting traffic.

Most of my WSO income actually comes from my list these days since I
usually make them limited quantity offers.

For example, my last WSO limited to 100 copies, 76 sales came from my
presell to my list an the last 24 came from the forum.

Eventually, my list will be big enough that I probably won't run WSOs
any longer. Besides, it's rare somebody who doesn't know me at this
forum gets anything from me anyway since my sales copy is pretty bland
and boring. I don't promise people the world and don't go in for the hyped
        up thread titles.

It's nice when you've reached a point where you can be low key and
still make a decent living, though I've never enjoyed doing those sales
pages that rake in sales by the bundle. I'm just not comfortable with them.

Anyway, hope this answers your question.

Pat, and they tell me that MY day was a nightmare.

      Sheesh...you work too hard.

Oh and about the insomnia...you might want to lay off the coffee.

Also, check to see if you're anemic. That also causes insomnia.

I know, I used to suffer from it. Now I sleep like a log.

LOL Steve - I was thinking this is why I am not blessed with success: I would go nuts if all I had was an hour of work per day. I would need to get a life!

There is a saying, 'some people work to live and some live to work' - I think I am a live to work type - I really love working - but again, if I had a life otherwise I wonder what it would be like.

There has to be a 'happy medium'.

I know it's the coffee in part - the thing is I can go to sleep right after a cup of coffee sometimes. I just can't stay asleep. I am cutting down on coffee - and am very proud that with my new electronic cigarette I am down from 30 cigs a day to 3. For a week or so now.

This is part of the fiendish behavior that goes with coffee/cigs/work. I wish I could get fiendish about housework. Need to do my spring cleaning now that fall is coming. I bought a nifty new hand steamer and this place will smell like a Chinese laundry instead of an ashtray soon!

Have a nice, pleasant, slow day, my friends.
