Afraid of the Bathroom

So I've been at my new job for a couple weeks and am afraid to use the bathroom (and haven't!). I don't know why.

Am I weird? I'm not trying to be sick but living in Michigan jobs are kinda hard to come by and I don't want to do anything to get 'canned.' ..or lead to it.

Seems it's not as unusual as you might think.

Yeah jobs are scarce, but if a company becomes so damned tyrannical that their employees can't even use a restroom without fear of being fired, it's time that employees just reinstated their true power over that company.

A company needs employees to survive - and they need customers. How employees address issues of tyranny will determine how much of it you can be expected to put up with. Is your job worth renal failure caused by fear? For God's sake have some fortitude and stand up for your rights.

Getting canned for using the...can? Well, there's a new one for ya.

Do what you want to keep your job (just over broke) but me, I'll use the can any time I feel like it, and if they don't like it they'd better have a damned good excuse for letting me go or they'll hear from my attorney.

We get 2 15 minutes breaks and (1) 1 hour lunch. we have been told that if you have to go to the bathroom other than those 15 minute breaks or lunch that the time is to be taken out of your breaks.

Now i work in a place that is probably around 15,000 square feet, and it only has 2 bathrooms in it. If you hike to one and its closed, you have to hike to the other, you can easily spend 10 minutes just walking TO the bathrooms if you go to a closed one first.

Well, hang in there Mike, once you get old you can just wear Depends to work and if anybody says anything you can sue them under the ADA law.

Have you ever wondered why the old folks at work have such contented looks on their faces an hour after a coffee break?

You didn't know that did you...:p

I thought I remember a special aux code they had for stuff like that.

I'm pretty sure, because I remember a few people talking about it because thats the code they'd use at like 10 minutes till quitting time so they didn't have to answer any more calls and end up staying late.

Don't know how you do it Michael...that place drove me crazy. (well, ok, crazier)

Actually, I initially read the OP a bit different...Sounded more like he has a public restroom phobia. My brother was like that...He claims that he made it all the way thru 8th grade without ever using the school public restrooms. :/
