Dogs think you are family - cats see you as 'staff'.

Lol. My Mum has a fridge magnet that says: "The more People I meet, the more I love my Dog." Honestly most Dogs are kinder/more loyal and loving/etc. than most People. (Hah.)

Dogs love you. I mean love the way we love. They are devoted to you. You are the center of their lives.

Cats love us as long as we give them exactly what they want, and exactly when they want it.
      I heard this somewhere;

A dog thinks "My owner loves me...feeds me...keeps me warm and out of the rain....and pets me and shows me affection. She must be a God."

The cat thinks "My owner loves me...feeds me...keeps me warm and out of the rain....and pets me and shows me affection. I must be a God".

I like to think my cats are thinking "Every day I get stronger. Every day you get older and weaker. One day....soon...I'm taking you down".

My one cat sleeps in my lap while I watch TV. I'd like to think it's because he loves me. But I know the truth. It's his way of saying "This human is mine. I own him".

And he does. And I think that's hilarious.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

I will always love my Cat Angus. (Dad named him Angus because he was ginger.)

He was my little companion growing up. Although I lost it somewhere I remember a wonderful photograph of the two of us with our heads together and "smiling."

Dogs lead the blind, track down criminals, sniff out bombs, detect cancer, drag their owners out of a fire, protect your home when you're gone.

Why do garden gnomes smell so bad?
So that blind people can hate them as well.

You hear that there are cat people and dog people. I don't think so...everyone is a dog person. How can you not love dogs? They love you unconditionally. They live to please you.

But there are cat people and non-cat people.

And I can say this with near certainty. Dogs love you because you are human and you are their Alpha. Cats love you because you've earned it....or they don't.

There is something about a cat looking at me as if to say "The only thing keeping me from taking you down...is that you are too big." that I find appealing.

      Nice.

They will also trip you when you are happy. In fact, they just enjoy tripping people.
Cats have a very developed sense of pratfall humor. Have you ever heard a cat laugh?

They are laughing at you, not with you.

Awe--many times it's because of you. When I was living at Home a wonderful Gentleman liked being kind to our local Cats. Why? Because he was gentle.

  • I figure dogs're a reward an' cats're a test.

Both experiences got benefits -- but on balance, cats're kinder to your TIGHTS.

Mebbe it is me, but I figure there is more romance in havin' my tights slashed to ribbons by a feistily crool cat than bein' ... caressed ... by an overzealous dog squirtin' luv evrywhere.

Call me classy, but I got no problem quadrupeds lick on my face -- jus' do not drool or cum on my frickin' legs, K?

    That is Benedict Cumberbatch's job.
