What seminars have you been to or are considering attending? I have been to a few in the past and they are great for networking. I don't care so much for the pitch fest, just for the networking around the bar.

Maybe a Tony Robbins one, that will set you back 1k, probably burn your feet, sleep deprive you, and offer little in return apart from rocking down the place, and a three day high!

Ryan Deiss has a great seminar on internet marketing. It's every year in California. About 2,000 attendees. If I remember correctly, it's about $495 per ticket. Well worth the experience. You'll learn a lot and there is a huge market attending to sell to.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

I would consider it Claude, but with those American accents, might need a translator?

You can buy a Soda, in the bar, and fill up your car with gas downtown, and put your money into a 401.

    Translated to Australian...

You can buy a Scotch and Soda in the bar, and fill up your car with gas, (eventhough it takes unleaded petrol) and what the f*** is a 401?

Nonsense just set a goal, visualize it 10 times a day, kiss your buddy doll, hourly, watch a Anthony Robbins hour to powertools, and then spend the rest of your time reading useless self help books, and making plans how to make plans in order to make better plans to achieve goals.

Or get a job, at the UN planning Global Warming meetings, and accommodation at 6 star Hotels?

As they say "the end is Nnnnnn".

  • Gotta figure seminars're an interaction between an indeterminate numbera SEMINEES an' one or more SEMINEURS.

Value for both parties gotta max out.

Seminees show ... an' the semineurs're no-hopers -- for BIG BUX -- an' you got legitimate insurrection.

Seminees don't show ... uhm, sorry Semineurs, that meansya are actshly frickin' lame.

Semineurs respect the elevated platform they got for bein' a one trick pony not only survived but kinda flourished big time ... an' mebbe the seminees gonna buy into the plan.

tbh, I figure wisdom an' intel is available in abundance -- from the web, from besties, from books, from jus' wakin' up day to day as sum same old wretch amidst impossible flux & embracin' how massively more wretchsum the fyooture gonna be -- an' I would wanna punch out summa the semineurs for demandin' dollars in exchange for STADIUM THRILL over ... actschly, ifya wrote alla that down an' emailed me when I was sober, prolly, on reflection, I am gonna be

PLEASE DO NOT SAY "SO SERIOUSLY PISSED OFF THAT I WOULD OFFER UP MY NAVEL TO THE TONGUES OF DEMONS TO BE SPARED THE LURE OF SEMINEURS PREYING EQUALLY ON MY INNOCENCE AND DOLLARS!", O PRINCESS!

You sayin' I am beyond the semineurial? Thing is, prior to comin' on as a semineurial entreprenooriste, prolly you gotta be a semineurial entreprenooriste GUSHO kinda Seminee recipient.

Else'n what is gowin' down or comin' off?

    advertisement

    WANT HOT, HOT SECRETS
    FOR COMING ON REAL STRONG
    AS A SEMINEUR?

Then prolly you should trust a SEASONED SEMINEE.

    Like Moi!

    Tellya, I been semineurialised
    face up close
    from a distance
    so many times
    it is like
    my inner seminee
    desires nothin' less than

    A REAL SMOTHERGUSHO EXPERIENCE!

    Play to THAT SCHWANGO
    & ur SEMINNIN' OUT,
    tellya!

for more information ... o plz jus' go eat a burger or sumthin'
they are nootricious an' occasionally come with gifts

You should attend a Claude Whitacre seminar, only 5 bucks and he pays you, plus a free steak dinner for showing up.

You will learn a lot about his services and how much they cost.

      DON'T DO IT!!!

You will have photos of you taken with Claude which can then be used to blackmail you. You'd be better off having the Kremlin release their "pee pee" tapes of you than being seen in proximity to Claude.

      DON'T DO IT!!!

So that blind people can hate them as well.

The main point of seminars is to extract money from the attendees.

Use them to sell or to network if you must, but they're an expensive and generallly inefficient way to acquire information.

Yes. In fact the entire point of a seminar is to sell further services.

But the best presentations give real value. They give you a good bite of what they offer, to make you want to buy the rest. For some of these events, like the Deiss event, the "pure pitches" get weeded out pretty quickly. The event owners get lots of complaints if the pitches don't provide real value. And it kills ticket sales for the next event. So the speakers have to agree to provide real content. At the Deiss events, Deiss and his partner usually five a few talks themselves that are just about all actionable content. Dan Kennedy also does that.

When I used to attend these marketing events, I took two sets of notes. One was for the content I learned from the pitches. And the other notebook was for what I learned about how they pitched to create value in what they were selling.

I learned how to really network at these events to get high paying clients.

If you are selling something to marketers, there is no more qualified group to sell to that people who pay a lot of money to attend these events. Maybe 10% of the paid attendees are there solely to network with and sell the other 90%.

I know two marketers that prospect for high end clients solely by attending 4 or 5 of these kind of events a year.

EEK - 10,000 attendees? That's a lot of business cards to collect.
