I've noticed a pattern where some warrior members just show up to reply to a thread with a particular keyword. So it appears they are monitoring the forum, say for "blog automation" and therefore picks up when anyone use that word in a post. How is this done? RSS? What service or script are they using? -Ray Edwards |

This is only a guess, but is it automatic posting software that posts a reply to a thead that displays those keywords? If so, could be done in either of two ways: 1) Scrape the first page every hour or so OR 2) Use the forum's "search" function at the end of the day, though that'd be more likely to be picked up as blatant spamming Either way, automatic posting never looks quite right, and I assume would be a risk to getting your account closed down. cheers Sam |

It's funny, because I know what 'keywords' in a post would bring some warriors in and it's only to pimp their product. They hardly write long post except to defend their products. I thought there was a special 'notifier' I didn't know about. -Ray Edwards |

If my memory serves me correctly this has been discussed before on the old forum. I believe way back in the "days" a few Warriors had a script that would notify them when their selected keyword were used on the forum. Like their name, etc. I believe Allen may be still using the special script and a few other Warriors. I could be wrong but I think my presumptions may be correct. Now, for newer warriors I havn't noticed them responding quickly upon a notification other than the wso keyword notification system unless smeone tells them about the thread. Frank Bruno |

It's also possible that some people just drop in and scan the post headlines for something related. I do that when I'm really busy, just scan the topics and see if there is anything I can help with, or a question regarding one of my products. I guess it depends on how quick, and how generic the reply is as to whether they're just scanning topic headlines, or whether it's automatic software? cheers Sam |
