The "Huge in UK, Nada in US" Music Thread

I was reading some interesting comments in this thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/off-topi...ty-thread.html about how certain songs were well known in some areas of the US and unknown in others. It inspired me to recall some classic hits from the UK charts that never made it in the US.

For instance, this one by The Herd, a band that gave Peter Frampton his start:

And here's a big UK hit for Atomic Rooster. This band was founded by Vincent Crane and featured Carl Palmer on drums, although he left before they had their first hit.

I can't believe this wasn't a hit in the US. It's a classic track by Family, featuring one the great rock voices, Roger Chapman:

And finally (for now) here's one of the best versions of a traditional Irish folk song ever recorded. Thin Lizzy's "Whiskey In The Jar"

Frank, the number of UK hits that never made a dent in the US charts would
    choke a horse to death.

Think Roy Wood's Wizard with their UK smashes "See My Baby Jive", "Angel
Fingers", "Ballpark Incident" and "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday."

See My Baby Jive hit # 1 there and was my favorite song of that year.

    Here?

It was a miracle that I even heard it.

You must have missed the video I posted of that song in your "Obscure" thread

But you're right - once you start, there are so many...

Thinking of Roy Wood, here's a huge UK smash by The Move that never troubled the US charts:

This one didn't do great in the US I think...........it went beyond a hit over here and it's almost an institution. You know it's really Christmas when everywhere you go they are playing this (Wizards I Wish It Could Be Christmas running it a close second).

Surprisingly, nobody seems to have gotten sick of it.
