I'm writing on behalf of a volunteer effort with a mission to help by donating food, clothing, etc. to Phillipinos who have recently been hit with the worst disaster they have seen in 40 years. Please read the following emails from Ken McArthur and Colin Wiebe for details, then let us know how you can help. We need your already-created products to offer as part of a "Phillipino Disaster Relief Sale" and whatever other skills you are willing to donate to help pull this together and launch a WSO to raise funds asap.

Hey Sheila,

While I was sitting on a coach talking to Colin Wiebe on Saturday
evening, he received the following e-mail form his virtual assistant
in the Phillippines.

The Typhoon has impacted 1 million people, 200,000 need aid and
support. the death toll continues to rise.

Here is Ana's email:

Hi Colin

Sorry for only emailing now. We've been hit by
a massive tropical storm and we are under state
of calamity.

Our house has been flooded, we have no
electricity or internet and flood waters are still
high.

I'm just using my cellphone to try to send you a
notice, but will soon run out of battery.

Please give me time to put our house in order.

Thankfully none of us are hurt, but many have
died in our area. If you know the devastation of
hurricane Katrina, you will have an idea of our
situation right now.

My sister's house is still under water as well as
my brothers their children are now with us this
has never happened before

It's hard to imagine that a person could be that
loyal as to phone and inform Colin why she
couldn't work at a time like this.

That is a testament to the character of these loyal,
hard working people.

Right now they need food, clothing, blankets
money or donations as their local government can
no longer keep up with the demand of everyone
needing help

Colin is calling on our jvAlert and Impact communities
to band together and without offers, incentives or free
stuff help these folks survive.

Together we can do so much more than we can apart.

In the spirit of Ken McArthur's mission to make an
IMPACT I would like to invite you to brainstorm a
way that we could raise $5,000 to ship a container
of goods to the Philippines.

I have worked all day today with my friend John
from purecompassion.org to coordinate the
container contents and there are church Pastors in
the Philippines coordinating distribution.

I challenge you to mobilize your talent and
resources NOW. Your prayers are needed too.

I will get logistic details tomorrow so in the meantime,
please reply to this email if you are willing to help in
anyway.

distribution. All we need is some creative ways to
finance the operation fast.

PS: I am including the description of what has been
put together so far:

Transportation is available in two forms .....

1) Airfreight (fast ) and smaller amounts.
2) Shipping containers.. (2 weeks shipping time )
Larger volumes.

I have confirmed today that Pure Compassion Ministries
has available for immediate transport the following
kinds of relief supplies Via Donation .

A..... PuR water Purifier.. We have at least 250,000 packets
available. this will purify 2.5 Million litters of water.

B... Medical equipment such..... as beds , IV stands, Gurneys, and
wheel chairs and some other medical tools and Equipment,

C..... Food Packets.. Each packet contains 6 meals with a full
complement of nutrients and vitamins for a balanced diet.
It appears that we could ship immediately up to 3 Pallet loads of
theses food packets.. ( This represents about 24,000 meals ).

D.... Clothing...We have many bundles of clothing available . I would
need some feedback from those in need about the nature of the
clothing required before confirming quantities.. But I am sure no
matter what the category is, we can supply clothing for hundreds of
people, if not 1000,s if needed.
