I am looking to register a domain, and I want something to the affect of myproduct.de

so I'm going to have to use mein instead of my. Does mein go on the end like this: productmein.de or does it go like meinproduct.de?

and also, any germaners... will I be alright marketing to germany with a .com, rather than a .de?

Appreciation and respect!

I don't speak German, but I learned a little bit over the years. I believe the possive pronoun comes before the noun, just like English. So, meinproduct.de would get my vote.

But being neither an expert, nor a native speaker, it's only my best guess.

    All the best,
    Michael

Michael is right, ALSO, watch gender and declension!

As for .com versus .de? THAT is a question someone that lives in Germany should answer. I SUSPECT that .com may STILL be preferred.

WHY do you want to create a site with a german domain name if you don't know german?

"Mein" goes in this case before the word - and product is written a bit different - you have to write it with a "k" instead of a "c" - so it would be meinprodukt.de . If you want to market specifically to the German market, a .de is better than a .com domain.
Let me know if you need more help I was born in Germany and speak fluent German.
