Hardcore Banning Tips- Read This For The Most Effective 'Underground' Ban Tips To Date!

Hello There Warriors;

I am here to tell my story, transition, and annoyances that I caused (that other people had to put up with from me)... since learning about the warrior forum and coming onto it.

3 months ago:

I did not know what a forum was in the sense of how it worked (this is NO joke...lol!). I also found them to be confusing, and never really looked into the purpose of a forum in the first place.

My boss introduces me to the warrior forum, and tells me to make a reply to someone's post. I go ok, and do it. Then I realize how a forum works. Big AHA moment! LOL (I'm a blonde...).

So then, I snoop around on the forum, and see all these things lying around, posts and threads on all kinds of juicy stuff- and my eyes go big and I feel like I just hit the jackpot or something.

So anyways, I realize, DAMN, I have my own questions...maybe people could help me with that too...

But I also think that my boss wont approve of my "doozie" questions, as he knows my profile and may nose around on it. So I make another one...lol, and begin posting away and asking things and all kinds of things.

So someone caught me, gives an infraction, then I get banned on both for "multiple accounts".

Keep in mind that at this point I had not even read the FAQ, nor did I know what FAQ was or meant, or that I should have read it- ignorance is bliss...lol

After the first ban:

After the first ban, I opened many tickets asking the help desk about it, because it actually didn't tell me why I was banned... but of course, if I had read the FAQ... that wouldn't be too hard to figure out! I had still at that point, not read the FAQ, and that's extremely lame.

So about a week later, I try logging in again, after the first ban expired, and it tells me the reason for the ban, and makes it for about 3 months- another ban in place.

So I open many more tickets, freaking out to the help desk over this ban... and I am sure they are just wondering what kind of crack I am on...lol.

Anyways, 2 and a half months go by, and I make this account here- and pay for it and all that great stuff, and try and be good.

But the other two account's bans expire, but I want them deleted. So I make this really nasty post in one, about how to get deleted and trying to get deleted...lol and the warriors warn me that doing such will likely get me just that: banned.

So of course, I do get banned, and it tells me "ban lifted: never"

Another ban freakout:

So now I am banned forever (and they ban through the IP address), and I am freaking out, once again. LOL... so guess what? the poor help desk gets flooded with my tickets again...

So someone in the help desk responds, after my freakout again, and asks me how many other accounts I have- so then I explain all the 3 accounts, and explain how I wanted the other two gone to start afresh...

So they ended up removing the ban, deleting the other ones, and giving me this account (THANKYOU!) which they never even had to do, since I was blatantly acting like a jark-butt, and didn't even read the FAQ

(which I had since read since making this "acrasial" account... which is a good thing, such a good thing!)

Now:

so now I was ever so cautious to be banned again, as I have promised the guy at the help desk that I will try extremely hard not to break any rules, and that I have read the FAQ etc...

Which this time I actually had read over it.

So this time I start asking before I can do stuff- just like I did here in the off topic...lol.

But i asked something that turned the thread around in a bad way, and once again got banned...but only for a week.

Not happy with this... i did the exact same damn thing I did before, and i was freaking out...

Of course, sending in ticket(s), and all that jazz... so then i created another profile. LOL

Needless to say, they caught me on that one, regardless of a proxy and whatnot- admin are not dummies!!!!

Unbanned:
So now I am unbanned in this account, and I logged in today expecting it to be banned..lol. I am still not sure how long this "unban" will last, because perhaps they can still ban me.

From what I have learned, the ban for multiple accounts is 3 months- and I didnt know that before either.

I was weary to post again here too... but I guess I can for now, and I don't exactly deserve it, after blatantly breaking the rules over and over and over- and creating stupid problems for the admin and help desk....

so anyways, that's the story about my being banned, and how you can easily cause yourself to be banned, if you act like me, like a jark-butt, ignorant person...

Other forums:

(I also hope I am not banned for this, as I am not sure what the rule is about discussing other forums on this forum)...

SO in the meantime some warriors advised me to go to other forums, for some business related stuff I was doing, as I have a money deadline thing going on.

Anyways, I went over to DP, and the other "WF".... and found it to be just nasty.

Especially the other "WF"... as people there are extremely crude, softcore porn is allowed, swearing nonstop is allowed, insulting other members is allowed-

Basically anything they say in their FAQ that is not allowed is allowed, on the other "WF"...

As for DP, not exactly as bad, but I see that foul language is still allowed, and alot of the posts there are just useless- in the main forum!!

Over here, people don't stand for that, and if a post in the main forum is off topic, but is still useful, then it will be redirected to the right forum. So there is an effective system here, at least, and a very respected and respectful one.

I saw another post earlier thanking the warrior forum for being so clean, and so helpful all in one- and not trashy.

I agree completely on this, and this is my favorite forum- having tried out other forums and been on them.

The most nasty occurence from the other "Wf" was men asking me to show my tits... (not kidding), swearing at me, and all kinds of things- and if you report it- the mods take the other persons side, and swear at you too! It's so strange!!!

That was all today i was checking the other one out, and i just had my jaw dropped at how disgusting some other forums are...

The Warrior Forum Goodies....

On here I dont see any of that (the gross occurrences, and other nasty stuff found on the internet), regardless of being a newb, or a new member....

There is a level of respect always maintained on here, and patience, and people are genuine. It's just a really lovely atmosphere- and not to mention the interface of this forum is quite smooth and easy to use, and the colors don't kill my eyes.

Not sure if anyone else feels that way, but I also appreciate that about this forum.

Plus the fact that the mods seem to be understanding, nice, and decent as well- ... so I am glad that I at least know the difference as well, between this forums and others, and that i know what a forum is in the firstplace; that I know what FAQ is...

and finally, that I know if I have an issue here, that I wont just be thrown under the bus immediately...

All of this learned from the Warrior Forum-

... all because i was a jark-butt...

So I would like to thank the Warrior forum Mods, and members, and ADMIN for everything listed above,

there's that saying "you don't really know what you got till it's gone" and most certainly checking out the other forums today and yesterday certainly opened my eyes up!!!!

NOOBS read this:

So my message to newbies here, (and others), would be to seriously read the FAQ's and stickies with a fine tooth comb, and if not, then if you think it's iffy, ask before doing it...

and keep things clean, simple, to the point, and on topic- as well as give back when you can!

And don't think this forum is harsh, or hard with certain rules- because you will love this forum if you were to go see other forums, and how they run with newbies!!

LOL - have fun with it. We all went through it but there's a lot on here SO experienced for so long that they don't really remember what their first weeks online were like. I'm not one of em. WF was my first stop on the yellow brick road, too. We're not in Kansas any more, Toto. Trust me on that one.

LOL, it's one thing to get banned without realizing why you did it... which I think is alot of people's case... but my case is a sad and pathetic one, where I did it, with the full knowledge, regardless... loL!

SO for what it is worth, acrasial, there is a belief in business that 'disaster recovery' when you make a mistake, if done right, can actually be a huge benefit that will win you the loyalty of your (bruised) customer.

I would say that your degree of humility and honesty are refreshing. I truly hope that you will be a Warrior Forum member in good standing for a long time - past 21!

... woosh - makes me wonder how I haven't been banned (knock on wood) but figure it's because I stay mostly here in the underground where there is tolerance for sinners and publicans like me.

SO be good and stay sweet always!
